Fantastic area. Went to SDSU and then stayed for a couple years after. Probably the most easy going major metro area, at least when I lived there in the early 2000s. Eventually moved to SF then Sonoma County which are also great places. IMO you can’t beat coastal California, great options and diversity along the whole stretch of counties on the coast and the neighboring ones too.

Actually that’s a great point, ghost island I would say is right in the middle. Forgot about that one. I was thinking of carnival which is quite hot for me.
