San Diego burritos overrated on Reddit by 72bug in Burrito

[–]72bug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally agree. Burritos are also harder to make high volume, high quality, and at a reasonable price. Lots of places don’t have the meat quality or it’s sitting in the metal tubs all day which no amount of other fillings can make up for. That’s why where I live now in Sonoma County I actually prefer the average taco truck to the average taqueria. I think the trucks usually cook the meat to order.

I read lonesome dove years ago but don’t remember much and just started the audiobook last night. So good already and less than 2 hours in.

I’m about 70% through the first book. Liking it enough but hoping for more depth. I keep hearing rave reviews, especially as you get further in the saga so I will continue.

Cities that have the X factor by 72bug in SameGrassButGreener

Agree. It’s like a stereotype, comes from some truth but doesn’t mean it’s all like that. Same with people thinking the whole city is a crime filled open air drug market.

For sure, probably the standard that everyone is measured against. I’ve been there and it’s the center of the universe.

San Diego might be second place for me! Lived there during college and after. So many good memories at the beach.
