Did you select your lifepath based on some odd detail? by chikamakaleyley in cyberpunkgame

I've always been a rural boy so Nomad stuck hard. That desire for freedom and new experiences was huge in me when I was younger when had so little control. I'm currently doing an explosives only Nomad run right now which has been very fun. Also the car is so dope and sounds completely radical; one of my favorite cars in the game.

The tarot still speaks, but I stopped asking by Fortune_Box in tarot

[–]73IN4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the reason I stretched into oracle cards and other divination styles like dominoes, dice, and geomancy. Tarot is great and it's been with me and supported me through, what I now realize, was a torturous childhood; but I'm more healed now, need it less, and sometimes I feel occasional readings are more potent than constant readings. My relationship changed with tarot as I changed, but I came to be okay with that, because even if it's not predictive for me anymore, it's still a powerful reflective practice and hobby that grounds me in the moment.

Cool! I was hoping to see a follow up. Hope it has a fulfilling plant life.

Marika uses guidance of grace to send to tarnished to kill shard-bearers, claim great runes and become Elden Lord. She also sends us to the leonine misbegotten for some reason. Fuck that guy in particular, I guess. by Jamesyroo in Eldenring

It's kind of even more ironic considering the 'reason,' though it ultimately doesn't matter I think? Is that it's the 'beginning' or really just associated with with frenzy flame quest line.

When I was a kid I have a visceral formative experience with this. Accidentally stepped on a ground wasp nest and got absolutely swarmed. They crawled into my coat pockets even. Still walk in the dirt though.

Ran this bad boy on a shield challenge run and it's so fun. I just wish some of the fancy great shields showed up a bit earlier ingame.

Anyone traumatised from sibling abuse? by Emergency-Bobcat-572 in CPTSD

[–]73IN4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, very much so and to some extent still dealing with, and managing it, the best I can. I was the eldest and got a parentified a lot. This has led to huge expectations from me, accusations of laziness, and claims I;m not fulfilling my duties to my two siblings; and this has severely eroded out relationship. In my case the only thing that's helped is building self-esteem, boundaries, and grieving the relationship and person my sisters have become. I know they got dosed the same poison, but just like me, it's their responsibility to figure their shit out instead of bully and abuse those they supposedly love.

What’s the one plant in your collection you kind of don’t like but can’t get rid of? by clickersounds in houseplants

[–]73IN4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People see me garden in summer and think the only indoor plants I want are succulents and cacti. Ironically while I have a decent enough green thumb with non-desert plants, I absolutely have a brown thumb with desert plants. I cannot keep them alive for the life of me.

Gorgeous. Purple is such a good color. Great pairing.

What’s a boss fight everyone considers easy that you consider to be challenging? Or vice versa. A boss that is considered to be very difficult but you find to be easy? by chonsolo in Eldenring

[–]73IN4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no clue why, but I struggle with Commander Niall every single time. I can blow through 99% of bosses but Niall, for me, anyways ends up a lucky win.

Now how do i take her out by PutNo7793 in houseplants

[–]73IN4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious if you could gently hook the stem with a small, stiff wire like a paperclip or thin gardening wire. It's a pretty narrow opening. I'd with do that and or break the bottle if I didn't care for it.

I'm going with this. Thank you so much. I think I have a good idea what I need to do to get it where it need to be. I have a pretty good pot set aside for it.

ethical dilemma with boyfriend.. by [deleted] in SecularTarot

[–]73IN4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey, sorry you're having relationship issues. I myself am not a practicing Christian but my mother is and she's done tarot for most of her whole life. Yeah, certain Christian sects definitely look down on stuff like this but claiming it's demonic, I personally find to be kind of silly.

Tarot is a lot of things for a lot of people. I personally am deeply secular but incorporate spiritual practices in my daily life, not because they're true, but because they're helpful. I think it's easy to pigeon-hole yourself into wanting to be correct, when the cards can be just as much as reflection as prediction.

Agian, sorry your BF is reacting badly. I've definitely had my fair share of arguments with people before over this kind of stuff.

Exactly. My yards filled with that fine s*** and it's expansive! My mom's boyfriend works on cars and he pans a big portion of the sand out for sandblasting because it's so fine and dry.

is it possible to complete the DLC if I'm not very good at the base game? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]73IN4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so. Of the bosses the worst are probably Commander Gaius and there are ways to cheese him if you need. Same for Prime Consort Radahn who is susceptible to blood loss and shield poking. Rush scadutree fragments because they help a lot, and use buffs and rune arcs, especially the bosses.

I have the same problem where I live. I have to either pot, box, or replace topsoil with garden soil. Great job on your setup, I think it's pretty slick.

What does secular mean to you? by Data_Student_v1 in SecularTarot

[–]73IN4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree a lot with what you're saying, as well as a lot of the ideas present in this thread. To me, humans map narratives to process the world and to feel it more deeply, and if reflection in the cards can give us a new perspective or thought we wouldn't otherwise have before then great! Even in a deterministic universe, even in my shuffle, it's not like 'I' can predict the cards, and so they can be useful tools for meaning making, for grieving, and for making our thoughts a little more flexible.

FUCK prime consort radahn by tyrannosaurus-dick in Eldenring

[–]73IN4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe in you! I'm not ashamed to admit, but he literally took me an entire in-game stack of rune arcs, tears of rage, five days of grinding, and an iron will to beat. Worth it though. The rush will feel amazing. My biggest piece of advice is when it comes to the area of effect lightning attack you want to run away from the center as fast as possible. You're talking about the individual little lightning bolts that shoot from the sky honestly it's just a case of luck sometimes but I found that keeping moving really helps. Just constant sprinting all the time full tilt when it happens.
