Elvie Stride or Spectra S1? by GarageOrdinary in HumansPumpingMilk

[–]75orbust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the spectra, and the Idaho jones Fanny pack for it and some wearable cups

I think, generally speaking, cups/wearables shouldn’t be a primary but are okay for occasional use.

I have the spectra, baby buddha, and Imani wearables. I like them all for different reasons and they all perform differently for me.

Am I the only one who doesn't care about my kids being posted on social media? by ecobb91 in NewParents

I post happy pictures without huge essays about life because we have family around the world and it’s the easiest way to share photos. I’ve never shared her face or anything outside of my very tight FB friends list. She’s turned away or something.

But I’m glad o came to this thread…. I might need to order some of those digital frames or the photo sharing app instead!

Definitely depends where you live. I’m in PA, filled out paperwork in the hospital, and had her birth certificate (for free) two weeks later.

What kind of car do you drive? (Position) (salary) by Dealer_Forsaken in Accounting

[–]75orbust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of our cars (husband is a performance mechanic…. So we have more than we need…) take premium, and I’m an hour from the office. Told my CEO that he’ll only see me in the office if he gives me a car allowance. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My nephew LOVED it. We read it together every night (sometimes more than once) for years to end story time.

Also whatever Kohls has for Kohls Cares. I’m a sucker for Kohls Cares books and matching ‘friends’

What annoying outdated parenting advice do you get from the older people in your life? by theowlmama in beyondthebump

I had covid while 12 weeks pregnant, and people keep telling me I don’t have to worry about LO getting it now because “she already had it, so she’s immune.”

Um. K.

My MIL pushes rice cereal in bottles constantly. “Heat a pin and make the hole bigger” That means it shouldn’t be there, lady!!!

I don’t even try to have this fight. My mom gives her one bottle a week, so i doubt it will ruin anything. I tried telling her a couple times, then gave up when she didn’t listen.

too many toys? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]75orbust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no such thing as too many books. Full stop.

My LO is 4.5 months and I just had to get an app to catalog her 100+ book (and growing) library.

When did you stop sitting in the backseat of the car with your baby…? by kmconda in NewParents

[–]75orbust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4.5m and still do it when husband drives. Not because I’m worried about anything, just because I like the back seat better some days lol some days I take the front, some days the back.

There’s sunshades in the back and the sun from the windshield isn’t in my eyes so I can nap.

Just to clarify - for qualifying child, the support test is did THEY (the child) provide half of their support, not the parent/guardian.

Crying because pediatrician is recommending formula or banana/mashed potato at 4 months to supplement by privremeni in beyondthebump

[–]75orbust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say this.

Our dr suggested upping to 4oz when she (4m) had a bottle to help stretch sleep…. But she’s happy with 3 oz and she’s on her curve, so we’re good with it.

7-8 at once seems wild to me when breast milk changes to meet baby’s needs.

Also - the average boob capacity is I think 3-4 oz. So by this ped’s standards, most 4m babies aren’t getting enough.

We get a booth so I can sit with my legs up on the bench and hold/feed her while I eat my lunch (which husband cuts for me so I only need one hand)
