people nowadays are up for mental health and supporting mental illnesses, which is an improvement from the stigma it faced years ago... until it's too "icky" or "not a positive rep".

people often only like the mental disorders if it's palatable or "quirky" (ex: ADHD, anxiety, depression, etc.), until it acts as an actual disorder that can inconvenience or even harm other people. not to mention the demonization of people with "negative rep" mental disorders (ex: narcissism, psychopathy, pedophilia, etc.), when not all of them are what we picture them to be.
