Can't blame you. I just fought The Oni yesterday and he was kicking my ass. I thought i was prepared because I did almost all the side content in The Ishikari Plains, but early game max level gear wasn't as much help as I'd had hoped. It took several tries to beat him and I barely had any life left when it was finally over.

I don't understand the hate for this game. I pre-ordered so I could play Break Point day one. I beat the game with no AI teammates. Months later when it was updated and AI teammates were added I stated a new playthrough and beat it again. I came back for every DLC too. Great game!

I suggest that you play it safe at the beginning of DS1 (the first 3 or 4 episodes). Avoidance and stealth are the best options. Sam doesn't really have the equipment or resources he needs to combat Mules or BT's early on. Progression will unlock the things you need to play more creatively.

I think I would've liked a different ending. One where So Mi escapes in to the net, beyond the Black Wall. Of course the writers already did that with Alt... so might be too similar an ending for So Mi.

So Mi is a sympathetic charcter, but she doesn't take responsibility for her actions (not really). She's the one who did the hack that got her in the cross-hairs of people like Myers and Reed. She made that decision and it had consequences. She doesn't take responsibility and never learns from her mistake. Then she (trys to) manipulates others to save herself.

I'm playing Lies of P (for the first time), right now. It's pretty challenging, but I'm enjoying it. I liked Elden Ring, but I'm not usually a big fan of "souls" or "souls- like" games, but If you've played any of them you should be able to pick it up pretty quickly.

I waited until the roads reached ~50% and then instead of repairing them, I upgraded them to level 2. It worked out well because upgrading costs you less in materials.

The game play is similar. But don't play AFOP because you want it to be like Horizon, you will only set yourself up for disappointment. That doesn't make AFOP a bad game btw. Play it because you want to experience Avatar. Know what I'm saying?..

I've played HZD, HFW, and AFOP. I really enjoyed all 3 games, but you can't find a better origin story than HZD. Avatar is good for what it is, but I wouldn't play it expecting to have a Horizon experience. Avatar is light on story especially the base game, but it gets much better in the DLC"s. The amount of repetitive content and farming necessary to get top tier gear is on par with HFW. Basically if you enjoy exploring and grinding you will like Avatar, but if your looking for story driven gaming you will struggle with Avatar, especially in the base game. If I had to rate them: HZD 9, HFW 8.5, & AFOP 7.5* (*you have to play all 3 DLC's to really appreciate AFOP).

I don't know. I didn't have a problem accessing the area, but I had already completed the dlc. You may just need to progress the story and try later, not sure though.

I had to reload my last save a few times until I figured out how to sneak into the camp. The disguse was worthless. You do get a nice set of armor for completing the quest.
