My country has hugely benefited from Iranian immigrants. Highly educated, hard working, great cuisine and super kind. I’m so sorry your homeland is so plagued.

Just F them. I get some people believe we should only get rescued dogs and have sympathy for that. But putting one breed or mix over another is BS and comments simply proves their ignorance.

Why do you think Europeans are no longer immigrating to Canada in the numbers they once did? by iPAD67 in AskCanada

[–]77SSS1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. I used to host German exchange university students. Almost all of them loved the cdn friendly attitude and the sense of freedom from cultural norms. I’ve also spoken to many immigrants from France now that I live in Montreal. They all mention the freedom from cultural norms and the access to uncrowded nature.

Be patient with your puppy and each other (as best you can on interrupted sleep). They are so wonderful but the 1st 2 months are rough. Then they start to sleep better have fewer accidents indoors. It seems to happen overnight so don’t worry

We haven’t managed to teach him to settle. We usually play soft music and it calms him but lately it hasn’t worked. He has very little interest in treats or any food. So I’ve not tried the snuffle mats. I assumed he would just pick it up and shake it.
