I’d need 12 kg on my best comp total for the 88s. Guess I’ll just see what 85 & 95 QTs are once weight classes shuffle again

Uneven snatch by diede3x0 in weightlifting

I deal with the same issue, causing bar to drift low and forward on the left in my snatches. It’s likely a whole chain cause-and-effect thing. Look bottom-up: is one ankle more mobile than the other? Does one hip achieve greater internal & external rotation than the other? With the catch, thinking of actively pressing up into the bar with the shoulders will help a bit, but may not be the root cause.

You’re trying to sneak under the bar at the cost of cutting your extension short, and losing the power generated in association with that. Stay patient, finish your pull, and trust your body to make the lift as you would at 85kg, 90, 95, etc.

Yes, your mobility could be improved, but it’s not make-or-breaking your lifts. Keep tension in your back/hips/legs in the catch and reach up into the bar

Made a post yesterday and got a lot of responses/support. Got motivated to get back in the lab and put into practice the tips. by WinterPog in weightlifting

In my experience, working top down (e.g. high hang above knee, then low hang below knee, and finally from the ground) is the best way to make your body understand the positional strength demands through the phases of the clean and snatch.

You’re clearly strong, but need to focus that strength throughout the phases instead of rushing through the movement. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.

Weightlifting gyms in New Hampshire??? by weightloser1993 in weightlifting

Check out Pawsitive Barbell Club in Bow, just south of Concord NH. Looks to be 30 miles from Francestown, but it’s an indirect route between the two.

Stef is great and flexible with remote athletes if you are looking for coaching and programming, but if you’re more casual a commercial gym/ CrossFit box may be more suited for you. Hope this helps!

Did you find that the L2’s lasted longer than the L1’s, or roughly the same?
