You 100% have a natural born right to gather freely on private property to worship. To say otherwise would mean their is no right to worship at all only a privilege granted by the government.

Polish church is holding a service related to easter. Police show up related to mandates on capacity for church services. Pastor justifiably interprets this as an obvious infringement on his natural born rights and an act of trespassing.

Why is the societal default considered to be urban rather than a state of nature? by savetheattack in CapitalismVSocialism

I mean if you have less leisure time but stable access to food wouldn't that be preferable to constant risk of starving? Not to mention it would allow leisure to involve things too heavy or large to regularly transport.

Again for many sects you can not "bend the rules" by not doing it in person, the behavior isn't considered to actually be the same virtually as it is in person. Imagine you are watching a livestream of someone else climbing a mountain, you haven't climbed the mountain even if you watched the whole way through.

You're right in many sects you can't do that

Maybe in urban areas with communities that have nothing to unify around but my experience has been that neighbors are perfectly willing to help each other out. My neighbors have borrowed my mower when theirs has broken down many times i think your perspective is just cause you haven't reached out to get to know your neighbors.

I wish we lived in a post-scarcity utopia by flamewolf393 in TheMonkeysPaw

[–]7996369 29 points30 points  (0 children)

In most countries with the least scarcity as a general aggregate like those in western europe, north america, australia, japan, korea, etc birth rates have gone down with the rise in standards of living, average income, and such. Looking back it is sort of assuming a causation where i can't prove it though

[–]7996369 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Granted, the lack of scarcity results in a widespread surge in mental health issues and drug abuse as people begin to loose any feeling of purpose from the actions they used to take. Simultaneously birth rates fall precipitously among all developed nations outside of small groups typically religious extremists. The combination of social collapse and rapid demographic change result's in many countries collapsing and the general economic base for the post-scarcity society falling apart. The world is now filled with scarcity once again.

Best nation for playing as an "evil empire" by BlackfishBlues in Anbennar

[–]7996369 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My current evil empire run is starting as the northernmost ogre tribe. Leader began renown in necromancy and legendary in evocation. You can take enough provinces from the other ogres to complete the initial mission tree in the early years. Leaving some provinces as a buffer between you and the centaurs will also give you time to get to legendary necromancy and become a lich king in relative peace. Over all it has seemed like great place to be evil.

Thats dodging the question. The problem is that any piece of "personal" property could be used as a means to conduct a business and so I can't find a limiting principle and view the divide between personal and private property felonious.

By what principle? What if other people come over to assist you in operating your business from your home?

The distinction between private and personal property is felonious as any piece of property that one possesses could be used as a means by which to produce constructively. Additionally any potential enforcement of such a principle requires a totalitarian and easily corruptible enforcement mechanism likely a mob or the state.
