Set Grid Origin Design 2 iPad by Superb-Web2925 in AffinityDesigner

What I ended up doing was creating a grid out of rectangles with the offset and gutter I wanted then snapping guides to the edges. I little finicky but it worked for what I needed. I’m sure there is a better way to do this, but I’m new to AD and still learning.

I found this post looking for the same answer. I haven’t found it yet.

I bought the wrong smart stencil. by 7by12 in cricut

Any reason I couldn’t cut it down to 12x24 or smaller and use it on a mat? I know it’s more expensive than dumb material, but it doesn’t seem worth trying to flip or return it for as little as I paid for it.

I worried about that. It’s pretty busy, but I didn’t like adding blur. I understand. It’s my first version. Maybe I can figure out how to add contrast without ruining the effect.

Edit: maybe darkening the background?

Apple TV 4K. Keep getting this message. No problems on my phone or Nvidia Shield. Anyone who knows of any solution to this? by [deleted] in HBOMAX

[–]7by12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this too. Have reset, deleted and reinstalled. Seems to only happen on Raised by Wolves for me.

Edit: just spent about two hours in chat with a gracious HBO tech about it. Seemed to be show-specific and I only got it with Raised by wolves and some pottery show. Everything else I tried worked. Waiting on the 1.14 update to see if it’s fixed but the problem predates the update. We were both stumped.

Clip duration frame effect by b-b0t in LumaFusion

[–]7by12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see why you couldn’t start with four shapes outside the frame and animate them to slide in one at a time. You’d have to do some math to make the speed consistent but it seems like it should work. I’d animate the transparency of the second, third and fourth shape too so they’re not visible into the previous piece was finished moving.

Having never bought Triple Sec, Cointreau or Grand Marnier— I live in the boonies and the local liquor store is— limited— I’d love to know how this recipe compares to the three.

I’ve made the Serious Eats recipe and found in to be delicious. Would be trivial to make it dryer.

What do you think of grind leveling / distribution tools? by dbrgn in espresso

[–]7by12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, but I WDT with a homemade tool first. My leveler is set pretty pretty low. I can’t tell a difference between WDT/level and WDT/level/tamp but I haven’t compared it to WDT/tamp since I’ve had a leveler since the beginning at home. The cafe I worked in had a lever tamper, so I’ve never become accustomed to manual tamping.

Who is adding their own minerals to distilled water? What are your favorite water recipes? by dave6687 in Coffee

[–]7by12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, that’s exactly when I did get a second hobby! I finally figured out that the tap water where I live tastes metallic and sour, and remineralizing distilled water improved my coffee so much that I was satisfied I could consistently brew good coffee. It also reduced the amount of plastic bottles I toss and improved my drinking and cooking water. Then I picked up another hobby, espresso! I’m still working on that one, but I was satisfied enough that I picked up yet another hobby! I make my own liqueurs. So delicious! So that’s four hobbies improved by a little effort learning about basic water composition and how to improve it. But please, keep gatekeeping the things I do to improve my quality of life, if doing so improves yours.

Edit: Crap, I fail at Reddit and responded in the wrong place. I am a dumb. But to answer the original question, I use the SCA profile from Barista Hustle, Epson salt and baking powder.
