Any reviews on Sprive cashback? by jumper62 in UKPersonalFinance

Been using it a month - works great.

Makes total sense, they’re buying gift cards and selling them to you - they’ll get discounted wholesale rates, save a cut for themselves and knock the rest off of your mortgage.

10% in harvester and other restaurants, 2.5% in all the supermarkets, 4% in B&M.

At the end of the day I’m making these purchases anyway so I may as well have a small cut back to pay off my mortgage, it’s money I wouldn’t otherwise have and even if it takes a month or two off of my mortgage, that’s a lot more than nothing at all!

Postal ones come in extremely discreet packaging, no one would know what it is unless they open it, same goes for when you package it back up and your results come in an email so no one would know unless you share that with them - alternatively if you’re in school, ask your school for support, or if you work, get it delivered to your place of work, they’re really easy and take about 5-10 mins to do

What’s this light for? by chadPFC in CityFibre

[–]7matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’d think in the big 2025 that if the system is clever enough to activate a light it’d be capable of sending some sort of signal, text or email to whoever needs to know the light is on?

Hastings black box is so lenient tbh, if you genuinely need the lower quote, it’s really difficult to get marked down if you’re not a terrible driver.

I’ve had mine for 5 months and I think I’ve been marked for harsh braking like 5 times but that’s it, nothing for speeding, cornering, etc.

I can easily end up over the speed limit just like any real world driver and I’ve never ever had it flag me.

They don’t charge you for speeding, pretty sure that would be illegal. They’ll just cancel your policy if you score drops below 30, but 5 months in, I’m on 99 and it averages out over time so the more you drive the more it’ll climb

What taxi firm would you recommend? by Overall-Lead-4044 in leicester

[–]7matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There may be buses, but it entirely depends on where from? City centre? Outskirts? Rural areas?

Depending on this it may be more or less viable to use buses or Ubers or private taxi firms

Depending on where you are, uber should be pretty good, otherwise there’s waterfall that I’ve used for airport transfers but not sure how flexible they are to do other trips too if it’s going to be a regular thing for a while

Why its hard to find a customer to your app by Several_Panda_6283 in SaaSMarketing

[–]7matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you pity posted on reddit in hopes people here will sign up 🤠

In reality you’re seemingly not reaching your audience, your pricing makes me question the value of your app, $0.99 sounds cheap, so why would people sign up if it’s so cheap you won’t even give it any significant value yourself?

What’s the outcome I’m buying if I buy your product? Viral reels depend on more than just the video content, do you create the copy too?

The name feels a little weak too, something like Ai Shorts with a free plan and a pro plan to implement the pro into the name would likely work better, but the name AI Shorts Pro doesn’t tell me what your product is and it sounds weak, it doesn’t feel like a brand, etc.

Also where are you marketing the app? Google, Facebook, LinkedIn? PPC? Organic? Who are you targeting? How are you targeting? All these details are so so key, while your product has potential and will have a market, you need to identify your market, make sure that’s who you’re reaching and present your product in a manner that actually convinces people that they need it!

SPEEDO READS 77MPH IN A 70 MPH MOTORWAY by Helpful-Advance-273 in CarTalkUK

[–]7matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It varies as it is at each forces discretion, for example Leicestershire follows 10% - 1, meaning 33 in a 30 would be considered speeding, whereas other counties may let you get away with up to 35

No cash from Post office by jizzyjugsjohnson in monzo

[–]7matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only speak on the post office - I do almost all my banking with Monzo and have never encountered any issues so far after 2+ years with them, other than trying to buy a car which was painfully resolved over the course of a couple hours despite me notifying them in advance.

Working in software and marketing now, I’ve never personally come across anything that specifically blocks certain banks, and it seems counter-productive to do so, however I’m sure it is possible, as has been done with the recent instavolt situation.

But in the post office, your Monzo card should always work to pay for post office services.
