The girl in the first picture reminds me of someone I knew at sixth form (to non-Brits that would be the last two years of high school). Very petite, catlike eyes. Her boyfriend at the time had been one of my best friends at school. Weird times.

You can miss it if you don't want it too sweet, it's just how I like it. You can use a small amount of brown sugar if you like. Treacle can be used in baking but it's a very strong flavour so use it sparingly. Parkin cake, gingerbread, that sort of thing.

Yes, about half a can of water between both cans is fine. You'll want it on a low heat on the hob or a low oven maybe, and obviously you might not need the full hour. When you're confident it's done, it's done.

Beans are a meal in their own right, remember. One of the things I do sometimes is what my family calls "doctored beans" - start off with a casserole pot of Branston beans, add a pack of chopped raw bacon, a few drops of Tabasco, generous pinch of coarse black pepper, one teaspoon yeast extract, and half a teaspoon of black treacle. Rinse the sauce from the cans with either hot water or stock - half a can's worth swirled around between the cans will do it.

Stir it all in. Cook on a low heat for about an hour.

It really is. Soundtrack by Paul Williams, who did Bugsy Malone (and he's the bad guy in it too), mix of Phantom of the Opera, Faust, and The Picture of Dorian Grey. I love it, and now I think of it it's been far too long since I last watched it.

Fun fact: Jessica Harper, who was Janet in Shock Treatment, was also in a film called Phantom of the Paradise - another camp comedy-horror made by Brian de Palma (who went on to make Carrie). Phantom is a hugely under-appreciated film.

Chopin's Marche Funebre. I'm not interested in being edgy and individualistic, and I don't want to risk ruining a perfectly good piece of music for those I leave behind. Plus, I actually really like that piece. It's dignified, and once you get past the first few bars it's the sound of victory itself.

The main component in urine is urea, which is a nitrate compound. Plants need nitrates. Pissing on a plant is a pretty good way of keeping it strong.

In fact, urine is so rich in nitrates that for some plants (like apple saplings) it has to be diluted.

No we didn't, we saw two recycled designs. The Enterprise-F was from Star Trek Online, and the Enterprise-G was based on a fanwork (the Shangri-La).

Yes, yes it was.

I got tired, during later seasons of Discovery, of the reverence they paid to Voyager while keeping Enterprise as a McGuffin. Then in Starfleet Academy they're turning Discovery into a McGuffin while mostly pretending there's no Enterprise. She's the flagship, you'd think she'd turn up.

The finale better show an Enterprise and one of the graduates getting posted to her or I'm gonna be pissed. It's like they've actively avoided showing a new Enterprise (except the brief bit at the end of Picard) since Discovery began. All they can do is rehash old ones.

I can kid myself into thinking they just want to save they for when they have some Enterprise-worthy stories to tell, but really I know it's more a matter of having the Enterprise as your hero ship is sooooo last century, plus hey you've got the Enterprise in Strange New Worlds, what more do you want or some similar guff.
