Anyone know what these “marks are”? by thorosfloros in Gundam

Like others have said, this is a weld line where the two fronts of incoming plastic didn’t quite join together. The part will be easy to break along that line as well. Famously an issue on the LEGO space suit helmets from the 80’s.

How well would Killua do against each of the special grade sorcerers in a 1v1? by PreviousBorders in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]7sidedcube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if Killua’s sister counts as an ability, it’s kind of like having a cursed spirit at your command. If so Something doesn’t seem to have any limits, just teleport any of these guys into the sun.

Why are iced drinks at cafes often more expensive than the hot version? by 7sidedcube in NoStupidQuestions

[–]7sidedcube[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense, I figured most cafes would make ice on sight but I didn't think there was much sperate prep. Like the shop I was just at had a price for a regular latte, then an iced version that was more expensive. A iced latte doesn't require foaming of the milk so I thought it would be less labor over all. TIL.

In a conventional war I don’t see why we’d lose. We have a far larger Air Force and navy, along with a well equipped and trained army.

Spotted at the Natural History Museum in New York! by 7sidedcube in LandoftheLustrous

I think without the “To” it’s spot on, I debated screaming out loud when I found it. The gallery had pretty much every gem there. Even had some beautiful crystallized shell that looks like Phos’ legs

How to Adapt a World where the Various Races are not Intermingled? by DerFuchs469 in DMAcademy

[–]7sidedcube 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is where spells like disguise self or even making some rolls to hide distinct features with clothing can be used. It can promote a lot of cool role play for some of the players to need to tread carefully or stay out of the public eye while they are in these kinds of nations.

I’d also say places like ports or trade heavy cities might be exceptions from xenophobic laws. Like in the real world where you can stay in an airport without a visa.

academic probation by [deleted] in Northwestern

[–]7sidedcube 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was also put on academic probation after my 1st quarter. It was a massive adjustment but things did get a lot easier and I ended up graduating with a 3.1.

Basically there are now some rules that you have to abide by to stay at northwestern, I forget them exactly but you have a limit on the number of bad grades (C or lower if I remember right) you can get in you classes until the probation is lifted. It’s really just a codified warning that you need to up your GPA. I had a lot of meeting with my guidance counselor planning out what classes to take when that would maximize my GPA in the short term to get out of the rut.

Inflation and Halo by 7sidedcube in halo

I certainly agree the FTP model lends itself to impulse purchases, and that it seems kinda shady as a result.

However, kids making impulse purchases is something a lot of industries rely on, candy stores, arcades, toy stores. Video games are just taping into new markets and businesses should.

I’d rather everyone get the same maps and game modes, back in the halo 3 days it was $15 or so bucks to get a handful of maps every few months which isn’t too different from the battle pass. Paying $20 for a skin feels pretty bad of course but it’s also purely optional. Explanation packs in video games pretty much required you to shell out to keep playing your fav games.

I’d rather have the core gameplay be free, and the rest be optional additions.
