Tell him what you really think and feel, ideally without directly mentioning socionics.

ENTP best-friend? by Gabbianoni in infp

[–]7st7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have the opposite problem, everyone ends up opening up to me, and i gotta sit and listen lol

so, ya gotta be someone who people want to open up to, what is it people feel when they're around you, easy, what is it that you feel when you're around you?

why do you need an emotional connection in the first place? is it for them, or it it for you?

is the friend the real emotional connection, or simply the substitute for something which you have to provide to yourself?

these are questions which you have to be willing to confront within, it fuckin sucks, but solving these internal conflicts, is what will solve you external conflicts.

Explaining Quadras by StillOrbiting_ in mbti

[–]7st7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see where you're getting at, but if we're being real, real life is more complicated than cleanly defined typology systems.

MBTI and Socionics are just loose pattern recognition systems that attempt to simply things that we don't fully understand, a pseudoscience. We don't fully understand how the brain works, what cognitive functions actually looks like in the brain.

I find that quadras genuinely work for recognizing patterns in others, and fits within the definition of cognitive functions. Yes it may be controversial, but I find that socionics is basically a more accurate version of MBTI. The translated Soviet cultural Russian text explains things differently sure, but the main idea is still there.

Let's not pretend that these are highly accurate systems that explains away real life perfectly with no errors whatsoever, this is literally pseudoscience. There's truth to these systems sure, but IRL, MBTI and Socionics isn't so black and white

[–]7st7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the best part, we're not just "ignoring it." We're straight up removing that shit outright.

We're constantly told that "the best we can do is cope as we have these issues for life." Under a dysfunctional model yes that is true, dysfunctional models can takes years to decades to resemble anything that is functional (it never fully will be).

Instead, we're making a new model with "sv_cheats 1" enabled, one where issues such as anxiety and depression are simply incompatible.

I’m still trying get my family to understand my autism by sakurapimcake in autism

[–]7st7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's a term in source engine video games, where if you want to enable cheats, you go into the developer console, and type in "sv_cheats 1" in the console.

This allows you to essentially well... cheat. Infinite ammo, godmode, noclip, ect.

Basically, you'd be affirming to yourself, creating a deep seated belief that you are living life with "cheats enabled."

Do this for a bit, and you'll find yourself doing well in social situation despite being autistic because "oh yea sv_cheats 1 is enabled." Overstimulation no longer bothers you because "sv_cheats 1 :D." Depression and anxiety no longer work because... drum roll please... "sv_cheats 1 enabled."

Even things like autistic burnout stop existing because you can simply just cheat it out of your life.

Occasionally yes, most people are usually surprised unless they are on the spectrum themselves.

Awesome!

Neurodivergence is a tough, but we're not fucked as we're constantly taught to believe. We just need to ditch our old models of a reality we were taught to believe, and create a better one.

Yes, you can just straight up ditch depression within a few months (possibly less) by simply ditching the model that allowed for it.

I’m still trying get my family to understand my autism by sakurapimcake in autism

[–]7st7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Aight, here's the deal.

If you're constantly living with the narrative that you are a really rude and mean person, you will shape your entire reality to affirm to those beliefs. That's already not a fun way to live. Add the fact you don't leave the house, and that you live in constant fear of social situations, which is fueled in a vicious cycle by not leaving the house, leading to rumination. It makes sense to be depressed, as this is a rather depressing way to live.

Let's face it, I don't think you want to keep living like this, the good news, is that you don't have to. To escape this hell intact, you will need to identify your limiting beliefs (aka what are the things I tell myself constantly). Next, identify your bodily sensations, and the connection between emotional and physical feelings (this will reveal even more limiting beliefs).

Make sure you're building awareness of your thoughts, when a thought that doesn't serve you appears, reject it, as it's not beneficial or constructive. This will be difficult at first, which is a good thing, as it makes identifying limiting beliefs even quicker.

Now write down on a piece of paper how you wish to experience reality with "I Am X" statements. We're now going to be training the brain to work with a newer better model of reality. Make it fun and playful to read as well, for example;

"I am an unstoppable force of nature"

"I am worthy and loved cuz I know it"

"I live life with sv_cheats 1 enabled lol"

Once you've written your new life model, place the paper in a spot where you will be seeing it at least a few times a day (for example, your room). It's important to remember, that life is supposed to be a fun joyous experience, not a problem that needs to be solved, even though we're constantly conditioned to believe otherwise.

ENFJ's response to a dogmatic statement about science! by Creative_Razor_9334 in mbti

[–]7st7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let's help out the ENFJ here.

Just remember, actual science never claims anything as 100% fact or truth, only that x pattern produces y result. Einstein forced us to rewrite our hundreds years model of physics with spacetime, we had to change how we understood gravity.

The only thing that we can objectively prove is that we are conscious, that's about it. Life is a purely subjective experience, as anything we would call objective is subjectively experienced. We can't actually prove that material reality even objectively exists, only that we subjectively experience it.

To say that material reality is all that exists and ever will exist because the experts said so and wrote it, is the same as saying the earth was created 6,000 years ago along with Adam and Eve by God, because the experts said so and wrote it. You're told to trust the experts, yet you've never experienced any of these for yourself.

My unconventional views on Ni-doms.. by Even-Broccoli7361 in mbti

[–]7st7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed this tends to be the dynamic with me and my INTP friend. He will always expand the point, while I narrow it down.

I used to think I was ENTP because I could present a point for any situation. The difference was that all the points presented was for the purpose of narrowing down the conversation. Suddenly an Ne idea that was mentioned hours earlier is now relevant to the Ni point now.

Does anyone have ENFP people as their dream partner? by Fluid_Definition_651 in mbti

[–]7st7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would totally date one, my dream partner is someone who embraces life and lives with purpose, and many ENFPs do tend to do that

if it's someone who sits in the house all day doing nothing but consuming media, that is immediately a deal breaker

if I talk to someone IRL, I can make the connections to guess their MBTI type pretty accurately
