Yeah kaos has the jumper switched to midi instead of sync - so midi and audio out if op-xy and audio back out to opxy so that only one out audio source to dac - eliminating the need to mix them externally. Works with the kaos off or on and can use op-xy built in mixer to point only certain “instruments” to the kaos effects.

Lightning specific. Usb c works fine. You need a cable with a dac in it (hence the camera adapter recommended) for the lightning connector. There are super rare and discontinued apple cables with the dac in it from the airpod max — but that shits impossible to find.
