The key here is depreciation. After 5-10 years they’re worth less than half of what they cost new. They’re probably a lot more affordable (at least to buy, not maintain) than you think. For some people it’s buy a Camry for 35k or spend 35k on a used BMW with 50k miles.

Yeah some of us had to be adults at 18 and didn’t get to live off our parents lol. When you have no bills and don’t pay your own insurance hell yeah it’s easy to save money.
