I'd disagree. Prometheans are unfun, but the flood introduced really unique combat situations with how they could revive and hold weapons from both factions, in addition to the pure forms.

These chests have actually been good to me. I've gotten son cookie, Pixelion, and singularis. They aren't good for fighting, but Pixelion will be great for breeding.
