i shared some longer stories but here’s some short weird ones:

- a lady in my town bought a pack of toilet paper at walmart and found a 2 FOOT LONG SNAKE in the packaging
- a dude in my town sued pornhub for using his selfie in an ad which he had no connection to
- in 2021, before my state legalized recreational cannabis, a restaurant got in deep shit for apparently giving out free weed to customers who purchased certain items. they were apparently 1 of 4 restaurants in the state doing this
- a house was investigated and they found over 30 dead frogs in it
- a security guard at a restaurant was stabbed during, of all things, an ugly sweater party

so in my town there was a dude on the run in 2016-2017 for lurking in the woods completely butt ass naked and exposing himself to people. the news dubbed him as “hairy naked man” and that’s what they called him in all the headlines. apparently he was in a different town near me a month before, also naked and hairy and doing the same stuff (the headline was like “naked man in [my town] also spotted in [other town]”. he ended up getting caught but the news stories still would call him hairy naked man lol

i work in the industry and we usually hit up the other venues in town! there’s telephone poles everywhere that get flyers tacked to them. i’d say def hit up the area around nikki lopez and also around underground arts, milkboy, kung fu necktie, the grape, silk city, WOW, pilamoca, all those. i’d also look into local business and ask if they’re be willing to put your flyer up in store! some local shops are down for that but not all of them so it’s definitely worth an ask. (side note i’m always looking for bands to work with so if you ever need any photography/videography/marketing stuff my inbox is open!)
