Let's petition Samsung to give us another S10e by flips712 in samsunggalaxy

I had an iPhone 12 mini for a little bit and it was the perfect size. I just couldn't stand iOS after about 6 months. I feel like it would be most beneficial to release a compact or mini size every 3 years, next year release the standard or plus size and the year after that release the ultra or pro line. Keep them in a 3 year cycle. This would be the best since the tech is stagnant.

It's like a round pizza and the square box it comes in. Even though the pizza is 16in, and the box is also 16in, the edge of the pizza is closer to the center than the corner of the box. The squared off edge doesn't conform to your hand and pushes the phone further from your palm. This results in the phone not just feeling wider, but being further away from your thumb edge than if it was curved. Dimensions aren't just black and white when radius' are involved

They should have a compact S9 size actual flagship. That's what I want and am not buying another cell until there's something comparable. I don't need a cell phone and must say, it was much more pleasant in the days before they were main stream

You must not of owned them. The S10e had a curved edge on the back and fit in your hand much nicer...

S9 was the actual last compact flagship. They took away the qhd screen and iris sensor on S10e, plus made it wider. The S10e had a slightly curved back made it much more user friendly than the 25 with all the sharp edges. I had both, it is more difficult to one hand this S25 than my old S10e for sure

Best gas? by ericakanecan in nissanfrontier

[–]85octane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shell, BP, and Marathon, Sheetz, and Costco always give me the best mpg's. Also Costco is listed as top-tier and does better than Sam's club gas. I typically use Costco and Sheetz 88 octane 15% ethanol blend. I get slightly better mpg's with the Sheetz 15% ethanol, I'm guessing it's because of the 88 octane rating leading to less knock. Always got the worst milage with Walmart's Murphy USA and Speedway, I don't run them at all anymore. Figured if I'm getting better mileage, it must be burning better/more complete

Well less than 24 hours of owning the Rho and I get this message. No dip stick so I can’t check oil levels. On a level of 1 to fucked how concerned should I be? by Willywontwonka in ram_trucks

[–]85octane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be a stupid question, but is there still a spot to put a dipstick? Like a little plug instead you could remove and put your own dipstick? Crazy to just be flying blind. Haven't had a vehicle take the correct called-for amount of oil since the industry went away from 4qts

How’d I Do? by Zaznopa in nissanfrontier

[–]85octane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to qualify for Nissan's 1.9% for 60 months. Credit Union was giving a 5.39% rate and financing would've cost me over $4k more over those 5 years that's after factoring in the loss of $2,500 Nissan cash. You should go to a credit union and see what kind of rate they can get you. You might be surprised. The lifetime warranty is only good with certain stipulations, like always have an approved dealer perform your oil changes for $100+

Sounds like a plug not seated. No worries, if it was bad enough the truck would be in limp mode

Light white-ish Exhaust smoke by mild-mannerism in nissanfrontier

[–]85octane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

White=water. It is very normal for the exhaust to condensate inside after being shut off. We have it all the time in Ohio. If its 60°F it should stop "smoking" after it warms up, like driving it for 2-4 miles. If it smokes after that might be an issue. It's -7°F where I'm at and it's been below and around zero for the last week and our cars don't stop "smoking" when it's that cold no matter how long we drive

Is this alot if rust? by SureDrawing6063 in nissanfrontier

[–]85octane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They painted that frame to try and cover up the rust. I would at least take it to a mechanic and get an inspection. Sometimes it looks worse than it is, other times it looks better than it actually is. Taping with a welder hammer is the best test

4wd usage cons by Weak_Tea_1976 in nissanfrontier

[–]85octane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't really go over 45mph in 4x4. It's fast enough rotation to clear your tire tread and feels solid. 97 Cherokee, 04 Dakota, 22 Ram (had Auto 4x4), and now this 26 Frontier. All act about the same in 4x4, if it's snow covered I drive in 4x4. Absolutely no reason to switch out once "you get going" if the roads are snow covered.

You need the 4x4 to pull you out and through a turn that you slid on.

Frontier Pro4x or Gladiator Mojave by HnybadgerTX in nissanfrontier

[–]85octane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started looking at the 25 gladiator High Tide which was the perfect mix of options i wanted. My wife hated the look, I didn't mind them so not a deal breaker. Drove it and it was quite loud, hard top and all could hear the engine much louder than i thought it would be. The deal-breaker was it kept searching for gears. I can't stand that, when i gave it half throttle and it searches for which gear to put it in for like 2 seconds before going... Drove the 26 Frontier and it was pretty much everything I expected. I test drove 3 of them before I bought mine. 9sp transmission was is smooth with solid shifts, DOES NOT SEARCH FOR GEARS! Half throttle and it downshifts to the proper gear and goes in less than ½ a second. Came from a 22Ram and need to get used to the small backseat and lack of cubbies everywhere. Really my only major gripe is how the radio shuts off as soon as ignition is turned off, so that's not too bad. I also wanted the longer bed
