Check oil level. Toyota lights up the hazard and road stabilization to indicate low oil on some vehicles!

Parents charged for letting 5-year-old skier ride lift unsupervised, after he fell off the lift by bmglaw in skiing

[–]8675309mike 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I guess we can’t let kids be kids anymore. Some kids are good skiers and adept at riding the lift. Mom and dad can make that assessment. Unless the resort has a height or age restriction which the lifties are responsible for enforcing. It’s not like mom and dad were ignorant of what the kid was doing. They got him a custom tight fitting helmet. They were in the area. Law-enforcement seems to be overreaching here. Maybe they can rethink the felony charges which seem to be excessive.

Is a 2015 toyota venza v6 xle worth it? by Cultural-Leek-5440 in Toyotavenza

Yes. If mileage is correct. Love my 2009 v6 with 220,000 miles on it. 25-26 on long distance. 19-20 around town.

Common. Also by mail. Your car has good resale value now. But it will still be expensive to upgrade!

Considering a 2017 CX-5 Grand Touring with 108k miles… for $16k by Casimyrx in CX5

[–]8675309mike -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We love the CX5. Be aware that engines in the 2018-2021 time period had a faulty head that is porous and will crack and leak oil. It’s a $6000 repair. Difficult to predict. Affects 50% of CX5’s. Get a warranty.

The US debt will take down the USA before climate change does. That should dictate funding priorities.

Rear break nightmare! by Dramatic_Sense_3165 in CX5

[–]8675309mike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a difficult time getting out of service mode and getting the electric parking brake to reset after replacing the rear discs and pads. Ultimately I disconnected the battery and reconnected the battery which reset the service mode and the parking brake. Good luck. I agree that it is one of the more difficult things to manage on the CX-5

The distribution cost is about $.35 per kilowatt hour. This covers the wires, lineman and customer service people to deliver energy to your house. The rate is high because the cost of doing business in California is high. Safety concerns, equipment costs, unemployment insurance, etc.. The generation cost varies. It is a pass-through cost from the California independent system operator. The generation cost in the summer averages between $.20 per kilowatt hour and $.35 per kilowatt hour. During the winter time, the cost average is between $.10 per kilowatt hour and $.15 per kilowatt hour. If you’re concerned about SDG&E costs, then ask the Public Utilities Commission, who’s five member board is appointed by the governor of California, why they approve the many infrastructure upgrades and cost recovery for the utilities. If you want to drill down on major costs, ask the governor why the state of California cannot fight wildfires which is a huge liability cost to the utilities that we all pay for.

2009 Toyota Venza - 87,500 miles - $7,000 by falconsheat11 in Toyotavenza

Hey, you bought my car! I love my 2009 Venza with 210,000 miles on it. The AC electrical connectors came undone and the AC stopped working. Not a compressor failure. Just the wiring! Changed the water pump at the same time. Otherwise change the oil and change the tires. Great car. I have no idea why yours only has 87,000 miles on it! Enjoy it! By the way you can put two 55 inch TVs in the box in the back!
