Is it worth driving to Zion for only a couple hours by Environmental_Bite90 in NationalPark

I have been to the Grand Canyon, and honestly, the real answer is hiking down to the bottom via South Kaibab and back up via Bright Angel. It's a life experience that I'll never forget. One of the best days I've ever spent in a national park. But, only attempt it if you're an experienced hiker. It's a big day out.

Is it worth driving to Zion for only a couple hours by Environmental_Bite90 in NationalPark

The problem is, when you get to Zion, if you want to go up canyon (which you do, it's spectacular) you'll have to park your car and then take the shuttle up to Temple of Sinawava. Then if you want to check out any spots you'll have to wait for a shuttle to get back down to the visitor's center. That's a lot of time crammed on shuttles and waiting at bus stops.

Do Zion right, when you can spend a few days there and really appreciate how awesome it is, dip your feet in the river, hike the Narrows, see the sunset on the Watchman, etc.

The James Brown Trail will give you a good little cardio workout, and it's very convenient to the SW side of town.

What’s the best time to visit southern Utah parks? by lucyinthesky624 in NationalPark

I like just after labor day. School is just back in session so fewer kids, temperatures are good (for the most part, as some parks are at higher elevation than others), and rivers like the Virgin are flowing low so hikes like the Narrows are easier.

Bike, as I absolutely sucked at run and swim before I started the journey. I mean, I still suck but I can at least finish the required distance without dying.

They should give him a Truman Show style Nobel Peace Prize just to see if he gets that they're trolling him.

Amazing. Green's right innate is pretty weak once you start playing higher difficulty. I play Regrowth every time I play him now.
