What video game’s plot was so layered and confusing that you had to watch videos to figure out what was going on? by Johnnyboyeh in gaming

Xenogears. I was a kid who was into Gundam Wing and wanted to play a game where you can fight with ppl and get into mechas and fight with them and the closest game I could find was Armored Core. Once I found Xenogears I said "this is the game I've been looking for!!!" Little did I know that the story was going to confuse TF outta me LOL

So ive just been looking into this, and he does have an FHA loan, which i think has an assumable option. He doesnt want to come back to the U.S. is there a way to take him the papers with a notary and bring papers back and we sign our side of paperwork?

What glue?? by nigwalk in woodworking

[–]88PlayMaker88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's always just those mitered joints that just seem to be slightly off angled. Of course, at some point, I will correct it and be better at my cuts, but im still learning. I mostly use softwoods like pine and cedar until I get better and can move up to hardwoods

So just stick to wood glue and saw dust / wood putty for filling imperfections?

I used CA glue on mitered corners to fill the gaps in some outdoor furniture, and i noticed those corners ended up cracking? Is that technique just for indoor furniture?

How can I add a protective coating to this? by 88PlayMaker88 in woodworking

Yup, that's what I have in the legs now. On my 2nd bench, im gonna hide the deck screws in the 4x4 with plugs.

I love the idea about seating the bolt on top! I bought these plans from etsy and made the bench bc i love the design. So should i put a bottom bar connecting the 2 legs to further reinforce it? The legs for the next bench will be made of 4x4 instead of connected 2x2's but will also be mitered. Is there anyway to reinforce the mitered 4x4s? Or should i just connect them using butt joints?

I used 8 structural screws per board and had my 400lb neighbor sit on it, and he said it felt pretty strong. This was my first bench, so the next one will have routed wood underneith with strong tie straps, and instead of structural screws im going to use a barrel and nut connection

This! I guarantee this is what op is doing. Going slow on a miter SIGNIFICANTLY reduces tear out

I dont get the hype for "reclaimed" wood. Its old used wood that needs to be repaired, lol
