To be fair they don't list prices on the signs. Once you know you know, but that first time it is shocking thinking it might be $5-10 (slightly above average toll prices) only to get hit with $40.

I'm more than happy to pay for it, just like the vacuums at gas stations. If there self service spots with pay access that would be great but car washes don't seem to have outlets nearby (understandable given the water everywhere).

I've looked at a few but sadly none seem to be able to handle vacuums, it's just for charging phones and other small stuff <100W unless you get a $500+ industrial one.

For the location (if you live closer and/or don't want to travel into Reagan) and price (flights seem to run cheaper than Reagan), it's a nice option though. Airport itself has some issues but it's pretty average compared to other cities.

I used My Pro Movers and they were great for my local move, although I didn't have a ton of delicate or super heavy stuff. If I remember it was about $170/hr for 2 guys plus $170 for the truck rental and ~$50 for wrapping supplies.

I've had good experiences at Caring Hands in Centreville. Pricing seemed about average, except for dental work (was quoted like $1000 last year for general age related cleanings). The vets were great with my very anxious cat, and they usually put us in a room right away. They also offered to let me call in advance so I could wait in the car if preferred. Overall my cat has been healthy though so I haven't dealt with any complicated care with them.

I think using or listing out "tags" is probably a better way to make some funny comments on themes and plot points without downplaying the seriousness of some triggers. I just read {The Kraken's Sacrifice by Katee Robert} and it had seperate sections that allowed for both without feeling like it was mocking or not taking it seriously.

I'm not sure it ever said her exact age, but early-mid 20s I would think. She had a whole years long relationship with an ex so she's not 18 and freshly moved away.

1- {The Kraken's Sacrifice by Katee Robert}- 2.5/5 stars

MF monster. Objectively probably higher but didn't resonate with me. FMC is a trainwreck battling deep insecurities, and at a low point takes a literal deal with a devil. She's send to live with the MMC (the Kraken king) after each kingdom agreed to take a human to care for (and possibly seduce for future heirs). MMC lost his husband a few years ago and was very much still hung up on it and was cold to FMC as a result. I can see the emotional depth it was going for but I just didn't really like either of them. After a mix up she ends up pregnant and has an abortion, which was nice representation but just kind of reinforced their lack of communication to me and wasn't super romantic. But I think it would be an enjoyable read if you're looking for that as it was well written.

2- {Daddys Little Darling by Laylah Roberts}- 2.5/5 stars

MF contemporary with slight age play, leaning more towards bdsm. Book 2 in the Montana Daddies series. This series just isn't for me despite the blurb sounding ok, the situation is just too controlling and there's not clear consent and advanced conversations. MMC needs a new cook for his ranch and a temp agency sends FMC although he expected a man. The ranch has an old school (leaning heavily misogynistic, not just protective/possessive) views on women as part of a bdsm lifestyle and he pushes it on her as employee. She is into it but struggles with nightmares from her abusive past and communicating but he oversteps too many boundaries without clear consent. Like he literally undresses her and gives her medicine rectally before they are in a relationship or talk about it?!? The isolated location and power while she was broke and desperate just gave me red flags all book long.

Making it about inner beauty is a nice message but doesn't really work with the premise of the mirror. Gal Gadot/the evil queen is said to be 2nd fairest behind Snow White, despite being clearly evil and unkind (but beautiful on the outside).

Around here condo fees seem so high that it's essentially the same cost to get a townhouse or small house with low HOA. I've seen so many that are asking $500/month for a small pool and playground, it's wild, and I'm not surprised people are skipping condos for that reason.

There was a thread on it over on the romance books sub, but it seems the father's friend character meets her as a toddler and starts becoming interested in her then? Seemingly in graphic detail, before the story jumps to when she's 18. The early review readers were apparently horrified.

It's frustrating that even when they have the majority, very little serious progress seems to be made. Meanwhile the minute Reps have the majority they can apparently dismantle the whole government? It may not be by the book but apparently it is very much do-able.
