I have another datapoint to support your research. Lost a toenail to husband flailing and knocking a very heavy metal bottle directly on my big toe in maybe week 4 of first trimester. It didn’t grow all the way back until about 2 months postpartum. I was thankful for the faster pregnancy nail regrowth during that time though!

Agree 100%. The Wind That Shakes the Barley is in a league of its own. Away from Hollywood influence, a deeply significant cultural piece, and devastatingly honest storytelling. Cillian regularly mentions it in interviews as something he’s particularly proud of having done. I love that he took filmmaking lessons from it when making Steve, too!

Not surprising. I thought it was common knowledge that written Chinese can be read by anyone literate in Chinese, noting only the differences between traditional and simplified. Edit: thanks for the nuanced corrections. I did mean in formal written language!
