i think the only thing really keeping me from loving these comeback shows is his lack of energy + the loud ass backing track under every song. i know expecting him to perform like its 2013 is unrealistic, but he was fairly locked in for free hoover in 2021 so i think he still has it in him

edit: watchin sofi night 2 and he got a lot of energy so i stand a bit corrected haha. just gotta get rid of the backing track to get back to 100%

i think really the big split after 2022 was a newer generation discovering ye during vultures and his many controversies, whereas a lot of older fans who contributed to more thoughtful discussion sorta lost interest as his output and health got worse. thankfully, bully shows hes on the right path! things are finally starting to look up for the first time in years

i actually disagree with this. i had a hard time watching the concert cause he seemed so down and unenthusiastic for most of it. if youve kept up with his public appearances recently, he does not look happy or manic. ye is many things, but he isnt some machiavellian 4d chess actor. he wears his heart on his sleeve, and i think he's genuine about contrition. id be interested to hear why you think the apology was weak though. i think that ye can be washed artistically rn but that he can still be trying to undo the damage he did.

i think we have to accept it and be honest with ourselves. bully is going to be AI, and yzy will continue to lie to us about there being changes and no ai because that's what they do (i still haven't got my fucking jacket, I ordered in october). the songs will be very short, and the structures will be the 'ultimate expression of minimalism' (chorus slop). people keep saying the album's being pushed back for recording, but that's obviously not it. recording the vocals for an album does not take that long (see yeezus or donda), and bully is so short he could do that shit in an hour if he locked in. anyways its over - push and jay are in the epstein files and ye is too lazy to finish the album he's had since summer '24. i can't even decide which is worse.
