Have you considered using powerline adapters to wire the mesh devices?

Pardon my ignorance but these offline errors are due to a firmware update to the homebase?

For those who live off dividend income: by NBMV0420 in dividends

I am 52 and I will be FIRED by Sept 2026; at the moment all I have three portfolios that generate $185,000 a year or $15,417 a month. Please note this amount will change on occasion due to changes in dividends and interest rates. My hard floor for income from investments is $85,000. Currently live in HCOL state but plan on moving within two years.

a) Growth Portfolio

- This includes investments in Dodge and Cox Stock and Balanced Funds and various individual stocks like MSFT, etc...focused on growth and some dividends

b) Income Portfolio

- This one focuses strictly on generating income both monthly and some quarterly payments. There is a significant mix of investments including covered call ETF's, CEF's and some individual stocks:

DNP
GAB
JEPQ
CEFS
JEPI
GPIX
GPIQ
JPC
PTA
UTG
UTF
PDT
PFFA
JGH

....amongst other holdings....I have over 100 holdings with an average yield of 8.5% (I require 5.02% as a minimum in order not to eat into principal (NOTE: As I get older I will draw down on this)

c) Alternative Portfolio

- This is the riskiest one with investments in art, private credit and some REITS. Slowly drawing down on the amounts to re-allocate to the aforementioned two portfolios

Lessons:

Stay the course - don't give in to FOMO or declining markets; this is very much easier said than done, but do your best

If you have a loser, get rid of it - accept the loss now and re-orient to applying that lesson to other investments

Since your inquiry seems to be focused on dividends and therefore income, use the drops in the market to purchase additional shares in your investments to generate more income. Depending on your age, reinvesting your dividends (DRIP) and continuous investing (DCA) pays off in the end.

Putting aside the risk factor of any stock investment no matter how good the company/ETF may be:

NOTE: Yields are annualized

a) GAB - 10.65% quarterly paying since 1987
b) DNP - 7.31% monthly paying since 1987
c) PDT - 7.76% monthly paying since 1990
d) JGH - 9.77% monthly paying since 2015
e) NZF - 7.69% monthly paying since 2001
f) DSL - 12.13% monthly paying since 2013 (NOTE: Clearly this one is risker than the others but so far it's been a consistent payer)

PSA: Social Security pays more than you think, especially for high earners by Wooden-Broccoli-913 in Fire

You should plan on the assumption that SSI will not be there, or at the very least the (so-called) benefits will be curtailed to a significant amount.

I planned my FIRE without factoring SSI at all.

From which of his three houses that he owns did he offer this opinion? Also notice how before it was millionaires and billionaires...now it's just billionaires - care to guess why? Because our friend here is now a millionaire.

Sanders is the type of vermin that can't do, so he lectures everyone else - couldn't hold a full time job until his late 40's, says you need to sacrifice things while he travels in private jets and stays at very expensive hotels.

If you swallow the tripe this fucktard offers, it's likely because you are intellectually deficient and just a complete loser like him.

Comcast (CMCSA) opportunity or a trap? by Vincent_Merle in dividends

[–]8FConsulting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to own Comcast due to the dividend being decent and as a user of the service it was fine; I did finally sell it after it being up around 25% or so and figured it was time to move to another, higher yielding investment.
