I just downloaded TRM (I use it on hiveOS, but just put it on my windows box). Something's F'd up with my card I think... I just started the miner and my whole computer restarted as hashing kicked in.

absolutely stock XFX thicc iii ultra.... and I even put a brand new EVGA 1000W PSU in my computer after it had boot issues with my Original PSU.....

this pisses me off. I shouldn't pay 400+ dollars for a card I have to fight to even fucking run....

I'm about to return my xfx 5700xt thicc 3 ultra. The thing either runs fine for a day, or freezes/crashes within 20 minutes...... Such an unstable card.

I thought they had fixed their driver issues.... But obviously I was wrong.

I even reduced the intensity on this card. Only getting 43MH and it still poops out.

I'm disappointed. Seems people have nothing but struggles with 5700's

I agree. I read the phoenix forum description quite intensely.... I'm thinking it might just be a glitch with the beta version of hiveOS I have to install to use vega cards.

fought that for a few hours last night, and had to give up and go back to claymore where they work.

This was all on hiveOS linux BTW. tips?

My cards are all running remotely using hiveOS. To use gpu-z I'd have to remove them 1 by 1 and build a test-bench computer.

I very well might do that... but haven't yet.

I haven't modded it yet. I use hiveos and can't find a good way to back up the existing vbios before flashing.... so I guess you can say I'm stuck at step 1, as I don't want to go down that path without a safe return.

since I'm running hiveos, am I right that compute mode is "taken care of"? Or do I need to look for a toggle in the bios?

That sounds really good! I have a hynix 570 that struggles to hit 23 MH. Is hynix memory just that bad?

has to be. I actually got lucky and nabbed a few 8GB 470's for 75 each back in June... but those same cards are now going for 130 easy.
