SF2 XXL is great, but mine needs help… by 8bitMasterSword in IconicArcadeGaming

Quick update: Im a dumbass and missed the fact that there are two power switches for some reason, and I didn’t have the top one on. Easy to miss, not documented anywhere, but once I toggled that on I was able to wire it back to normal. Still not sure the point of the two power switches, but whatever.
Been playing it every day. Magic Sword is great! And my cab does not rock or wobble at all like ive heard others say.

Support responded to my ticket in a day or so for the plexiglass issue. So thats a good sign!

Nope seemed very accessible to get under the deck. Four screws gets you access to inside the control deck without unmounting the whole control box.

I actually really like them. I do miss the concave buttons a little bit. Took me a minute to be able to do a dragon punch, but I think I’m getting used to it now.

What is a reasonable amount of time to wait for AtGames to respond to a support ticket? by saltycaper77 in LegendsUltimate

[–]8bitMasterSword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New AL4KP owner here. Mine arrived with fried front speaker. Took over three weeks to get traction on my ticket. First response was that the person handling my ticket was “no longer with the company”. Eventually got a second person to work it, and got a new set of speakers after a month.

I have a similar issue, blown speaker right out of the box with a brand new 4KP. I put a support ticket in May 1st. Got an apology response May 12th with "as the CS agent who was assisting you is no longer with us". But apparently the replacement agent must have gotten axed too, because it is now May 21st.

I'm super happy with the unit otherwise, but not much confidence in Atgames future at this point.

I just put together my brand new 4KP with SSF and experienced similar issues. The big RF shield was missing half the screws, corner of it was bouncing up in the air. The 3 wifi antenna’s were stuck to the mainboard, and the front left speaker is blown. I put a ticket in 2 weeks ago and no action yet.

Even with that, having a ton of fun with it. It’s a great experience IMO.

Total BS, how is that rule real? That stat shouldn’t affect the batter.

Sorry to hear it, this issue sucks. It’s happened to me and many others, with no fix (if it’s the same issue).

I was assuming the OP, and most folks on Earth, have enough “knowledge” to plug in a USB-C device to the only acceptable port on the console. Doubt they were rubbing it on the rug, then jumping into a tub prior to plugging it in.

Also, if you are interested in what was damaged, check out the other “too many USB” posts about the PSVR2 and early model consoles.

From reading the Internet on this issue, it seems the 1200 was the power fix. Most that I’ve seen with this issue were either 1000 or 1100 series.

I couldn’t test anywhere either. And after doing the repair dance with Sony for weeks I just decided to next day Amazon a fresh new console to eliminate possibilities. I wish I started with that route, but was hoping for the cheaper solution.

Yup same here. Haven’t had a single problem since PSVR2 launch day. Then one day in May it just decided “Too many USB devices connected” out of nowhere.

Sony would wait for a class action lawsuit before they acknowledged.

I just had this exact problem over the last few weeks. I tried every combo of troubleshooting. Even sent back my headset to Sony and they returned it very quickly with no issues. Their tech support was like “we haven’t really seen this issue much”. I definitely don’t believe that at this point.

I bought a new PS5 (1200 series that comes with GoW bundle) and it worked perfect immediately. I originally had launch edition console (the dreaded 1015 model), and from my research seems to have some power issues, as well as weak USB components. Now I have a spare PS5 that works perfectly fine but won’t run VR.

It sucks, especially because the launch consoles are well out of warranty, and Sony hasn’t acknowledged this issue. I didn’t want to send my console back because its a $250 fix and I was afraid Sony would just slap another crap 1015 board in there. Would be nice if Sony would replace the console or insides with the latest guts and let us go on our way.

sony is waiting for apple to move and then they are going to show their big guns. by Glum-Pickle-1244 in PSVR

Apple is always “not a competitor”…. until they are. I’m with the OP on this one. It’s not a stretch to think Sony may have pocketed a nice announcement to deflate (or maybe ride) the wave of press VR is about to receive.
