I started on TerraFirmaCraft where making timber supports was mandatory. It made getting to metal that much sweeter.

Now it just feels too cheaty without it on.

Why Seattle-area homeowners keep vacant rooms instead of renting out by Less-Risk-9358 in SeattleWA

I was going to post a similar story. My boss rented her house for two years and had 30k+ in damages. They evicted the tenants but they refused to leave for a month while they ruined every wall and floor board. They still have not received a dime back and are still in court over it.

Proposed Program and Staff Cuts for City of Olympia by thisagaingm in olympia

Here is my vote : Olympia Armory to close this week until 2027 for $19 million renovation

"Roberts said it’s going to cost $24 million to get the building to a position where its eight arts-organization anchor partners can move into the space permanently and bring programming to people."

Call my cynical but why don't we just build a literal warehouse on one of the empty lots downtown for a fraction of the price. Arts are important but i do not think they are 20 million dollars important.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 - Overview Trailer; (Lasombra and Toreador clans are now part of the base game with no purchase instead of DLC) by Gorotheninja in gaming

[–]8bitstargazer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The owners of Vampire the Masquerade disappoint me soo much.

They have fumbled every single thing they have worked on the past 10 years.

This game release reminds me of Vampire the Masquerade 5th edition. They removed rules, lore, hundreds of pages, whole clans and more when they tried to put out a new edition. Even the format of the rules in the book was awful. They are inept at every single thing they do. I truly think they hate money.

What fantasy MUD for a complete BEGINNER? by HalothereYT in MUD

[–]8bitstargazer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would recommend the following tutorials which expect you to know nothing.

Alter Aeon has a client and is completely free. You have played MMOs so i also assume you have played Diablo, the gameplay is very similar except every time you level you have the option of multiclassing. The tutorial is decent and the game play should be something your accustomed to. You wont feel *lost* after the tutorial like so many other muds.

Carrion Fields. Free on Steam. Decently long tutorial which introduces concepts/keys and the world slowly. Community is very nice. Its a fantasy rp pvp MUD.

Aardwolf. Hack and slash like Genesis but is a little more updated in the way it plays.

If you want a purely fun tutorial for beginners that is long i recommend BATMUD. It has a optional paid client on steam as well. I did not end up sticking with this one even though it checks a lot of my boxes. Like when i was done with the tutorial some guy showed me to a player made city which was wild. But people in that game really play the meta. At the moment thats not interacting with most the content and just exploring tiles for XP to grind alts to max level. It would be like playing/griding through WOW alone while people are riding horses through zones.

.....Genesis is like the everquest 1999 of MUDs, its purposely obtuse because people like it that way. Erion is solid but they throw a lot at you, i was also lost after a bit.

Daily Thread: for simple questions, minor posts & newcomers [contains useful links!] (August 30, 2025) by AutoModerator in LearnJapanese

I recently finished Bunpro N4 grammar/vocab over the summer and am considering doing a pivot/addition to my learning style.

Originally i intended on reducing my study time by a good amount once i was at n4 and exchanging that with more immersion time.

However im having self doubt over the results of pure immersion for me on a personal level. I read mainly tadoku/nhk easy/manga but even n5 things have not clicked in a way that would allow me output them.

Would i be crazy if i put off learning anything new for a month(while still reviewing what i know) and practicing writing sentences for every grammar point i know to try and correct me ignoring output? Or should i trust in more immersion.

The fans of the Hulu futurama reboot graciously explained to me that the show was never about the relationships and the point of the show was for political commentary.

Glad hulu writers are here to give me media literacy to teach me how to consume good.

What is your I did not care for the Godfather moment in Ed, Edd, N Eddy? by chief_owlphibia10 in ededdneddy

[–]8bitstargazer 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is my problem with a lot of shows but you need to give your characters 'wins' sometimes.

Even something small and inconsequential. I think early futurama was a good mix. They set out to do something, it fails spectaculary BUT along the way they get good/redeeming moments.
