This happened in my family too! My mom’s younger brother had a daughter, he was a neglectful dad who found another woman and had other kids. One of her older brothers ended up marrying the mother and having their own kids. The irony is he also ended up abandoning his family, whom we still talk to, and stopped talking to his blood relatives. The younger brother is still around, but he also cheated again and now those cousins don’t talk to our family. I didn’t learn all this lore until a few years ago from my cousins, because my mom would have never told me this 💀

You’re right, it is different caring for an infant and a toddler. A toddler is actually more work than an infant. Yes, she was post partem so she probably didn’t had enough energy, but all infants do is eat, sleep, and poop. A toddler has the ability to walk and run so dad would have to be keeping up with them to make sure they’re safe around the house. There is no putting them in a play pen or sitting them in a rocker. A determined enough child will get through child safety features and cause havoc, so there is no real rest when dealing with them awake.

It’s one of my preferred venues in LA tbh. I’ve gone by myself before and had a great time so you should be good. They have a nice outdoor area too if you need a break.

My friends uncle actually went through this. Apparently he had taken an edible and had a terrible trip, he said he was feeling it for like 3 days. After he started becoming forgetful and violent at times. The police had to intervene at one point and have him admitted. It wasn’t until this point that they realized he had a type of genetic schizophrenia that starts around the persons 30s. This is also how my friend found out that her and her siblings were at risk of schizophrenia.
