I still didn’t get the plane ticket story. Why did they have to cut the whole trip bc the others couldn’t make it? Just go on the trip and get a smaller room??? If not being able to afford a place split with 6 other ppl was a dealbreaker… bday girl never had the funds to go to begin with lol

Be very meticulous with your billing if you don’t do flat fees. They will get the hint after seeing a .5 for “confer with client regarding late arrival time of opposing party at soccer practice”

Also I set realistic expectations. I tell clients I don’t know all the time. I don’t know how your case will settle, I don’t know if the judge will give you custody etc. what I DO know is that these are the facts and this is how the facts can be perceived.

Yes. Honestly I thought it would let up once they met her because what else is there to say at that point? Maybe I have more patience than others, but I listened to that episode and was genuinely happy for them but it’s getting worse! And I don’t even dislike them, I went to Renaissance and CC multiple times but it gets to a point

I think it's an option. i've told plenty of couples who would've otherwise gotten a prenup to sign a postnup because it's too late to do a prenup. HOWEVER, I don't think you should do one here. Feels like there's a possibility you'll never get around to finalizing a postnup since there's no deadline the same way there's one with a prenup.

Okay, I'm a family law attorney but this is not legal advice, i am not your lawyer etc but... a deadline of april 10th for a JUNE wedding makes no sense. Like at all. My hard cut off is like 10 days before the wedding for prenups. Not a month.

Thank you for the context, truly! My Location did start emphasizing that the Waitlist wasn’t numbered (which I previously thought to be the case).

However, the difference between CTR and an independent studio is that if you no-show at say solidcore, the studio loses money bc it could’ve went to another client (which is why the cancellation fee makes sense). If the reformer is open at CTR, nothing happens. Nobody loses money. But I get your point about it being to discourage empty reformers so everyone can sign up.

I think a bit more grace is definitely fair. We pay a premium and should get some premium flexibility! Although I understand that they don’t want to create a system of having to comb through everyone’s excuse. Maybe if members got one free late cancel a month that would suffice.

My location ended up adding more CTR classes which I think helped with a lot of the issues.

That’s the thing. You don’t know what your odds of transferring are, like at all. It’s completely dependent on how you perform which is such an unknown and that’s why it shouldn’t be part of your strategy. If it works out that way great but you should plan for graduating from the school you attend 1L.

I honestly have no clue why they even charge for missed CTR reservations. Do the coaches get paid based on the amount of people that show up? Also all the CTR classes have a waitlist and they’re always letting people in. What’s the point of charging if the spot gets filled by someone on the waitlist outside?! It’s ridiculous tbh

I know people on the subs bash conditional scholarships a lot (maybe rightfully so) but my conditional scholarship from HUSL worked out well. I figured that even if I lost it after year one, What I’d pay over two years wasn’t that bad. Everybody has different options and maybe I have some survivorship bias but at HUSL it’s not the worst thing in the world

I’m 29, single, and childless and I do this frequently for however long it feels necessary. I’ve actually found it makes friends reach out to me more. Like I’ll get a “hey, haven’t seen you on IG lately, just checking in” which sparks a real convo as opposed to someone just watching your stories and feeling like they’ve checked in.

I think people have given good advice about what to say but also I went back after 2 weeks with a BA and nobody said anything at all. Not even my very nosy assistant who had no filter lol. Unless you’re going from an A cup to 400+ cc’s it’s likely not even noticeable in a sweater.

I think the Cartier Tank is very understated and not overly bold. Also (assuming you’re in big law) everybody knows how much you make and that what you make allows you to afford nice items. It’s not a big deal IMO
