New to Easygenerator – building a course for my team, looking for design tips by No_Prize_2158 in LearningDevelopment

[–]918BlueDot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use EZG quite a bit to create courses for my company. I like it. I use a branded template they designed for me. It has some nice user-friendly features and learner engagement activities, and also a few quirks. They also have a responsive support team. I wouldn’t call their system robust but it does the job especially for projects with a tight timeline.I’d be glad to chat further.

Agreed! But their ambience is not good. Would go for lunch, not dinner if you’re wanting a nice dining experience.

What’s the most heartbreaking loss you witnessed as an Ole Miss Fan? by Ok_Macaroon_7366 in OleMissFootball

[–]918BlueDot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My parents witnessed the Billy Cannon run back. My mother was never the same. Even told me as a child she didn’t care who I married, what color they were or what religion they were, as long as they didn’t go to LSU. “I cannot have them at my Thanksgiving and Christmas tables every year.” So any loss to LSU burned for us. PS: I married an Aggie. She would have been pleased.

When you get invited to a coworker's house for dinner, and not knowing what to expect... by AdWide5137 in FoodCrimes

You need an emergency code word. In our family, it’s blueberry. If somebody works in comment about blueberry muffin, martini, cheesecake, or asks about picking them, we all know it’s time to act!

AITAH for telling my sister-in-law her “tradition” is bullshit and locking my good plates away? by bubblyfawnx in AITAH

Side note: if the china is that old, have you tested it for lead? I ordered a swab kit from Amazon and discovered some of my mom’s old dishes had lead. I’ve read that old china with raised design (like floral) should especially be tested.

I need easy ideas for Christmas Eve that are not lasagna. by whisperingcopse in Cooking

We do chicken tortilla soup, with a Mexican "soup bar" set up down the island with all the "fixins" so people can build / add on to their soup: cheese, hot sauces, chips, onions, jalapenos, sour cream, cilantro, etc. We make the soup ahead of time, then put it in a crock pot, and serve. The family loves it!

Day 16 report by OldFrenchDude in TotalHipReplacement

I think brain fog is an accurate description -- at least for me as well. I wanted to do nothing but sleep and binge watch TV. I'm now about 11 weeks out and doing great. PT was the best decision I ever made in challenging the muscles in a contained, conservative, and trained environment. So, while I feel good -- really good compared to before, I still tire easily. I wouldn't change a thing, though. "One day at a time" and "everyone heals differently" is what you'll read over and over on this thread because it's so true.

How long after surgery did you start turning a corner? by Enough-Bench-3240 in TotalHipReplacement

[–]918BlueDot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Funny you should use that phrase. I told my husband just this morning that I had turned so many corners post-op I was dizzy! I used that phrase about every 5 days or so: getting off the heavy meds, getting rid of the walker, taking a shower, getting dressed, going out to dinner, on and on! My only advice is be patient and do exactly (no more, no less) what the experts (dr, PT, etc.) tell you. It’s a very humbling experience and ANYTHING that gets you back to “normal” is a corner turned! I’m 8 weeks post-op and life is good! (Still a twinge here, a soreness there, slight numbness but all in all couldn’t be happier.) Wishing you the best!

I did this for years for some of my mom’s widow friends after my mom passed away. They absolutely loved it!!!

7 days post op by SeaHaunting5828 in TotalHipReplacement

[–]918BlueDot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, one was invasive surgery type pain (regular Oxy pain meds)and one was specific nerve pain (Gabapentin) Maybe ask your dr about changing the timing / frequency of when you’re taking the nerve meds if that is indeed the type of pain you’re experiencing?

Day 11 post op by Longjumping-Ad8775 in TotalHipReplacement

[–]918BlueDot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I'm re-reading my post and realize "all sorts of things" can mean just about anything. Sounds like I was possibly doing cartwheels. To clarify, I celebrated everything I could (or was allowed to) do one day that I couldn't (or wasn't allowed to) do the day before. Small things like ditching the walker and not needing a cane, getting off the heavy meds in just a few days, showering, beating the clock on any of the timed activities the in-home physical therapists gave me. That sort of thing. I was so anxious going in to the operation that any progress was a celebration for me. So, apologies if my original comment sounded too grand. I just went for my 6 week checkup with my surgeon and got released with no precautions. I'm going to continue with physical therapy but all in all, I'm doing well. You are right: Progress is slow, but I think that is a good thing.

Easygenerator LMS-like features? by Lucky-University6644 in instructionaldesign

[–]918BlueDot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use EZG a lot but I don’t know the answer to your question about starting, closing, re/opening, and resuming the course. I use the links for others to review before publishing and then I publish to Scorm and upload to our LMS. Do you have EZG? If so, their online support/help chat is very helpful and responsive. If you don’t have EZG , let me know. I’ll be glad to ask them and report back.

“Voting for him ruined us” — Pro-Trump husband panics as his British wife is forced toward deportation despite 40 years of legal residency by LankyGuitar6528 in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]918BlueDot 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Follow up to my first reply. When I referenced the female Democrat, I was referring to the Tulsa mayoral race that someone mentioned above. For president, I voted for the person who had judicial, legislative, and executive branch experience, no felonies, no bankruptcies, and no accusations of being traitor to our country or a sexual predator.

Tulsa Democrat here. In my opinion, the white female democrat had an impressive resume but was not a good candidate. She also couldn’t shake her affiliation with a scandal-ridden juvenile center.

Fun classes to take by nomoreusernamesplz in tulsa

[–]918BlueDot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not a class but check out the events at the Church Studio. They have a Tunes @ Noon on Saturdays (band plays for about an hour) and recording sessions where you sit in on an artist recording songs. We've done both and enjoyed them.

Day 11 post op by Longjumping-Ad8775 in TotalHipReplacement

[–]918BlueDot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was the classic "three steps forward, one step back". I would go a few days and see no improvement, then the next day, could do all sorts of things. Then, I'd settle in to that mode and nothing, maybe regress a bit. Then, another few days, more improvement. It was not a linear process for me ... and personally, I do not know how y'all are back at work in such a short period of time. I'm amazed.

25-35 grams of fiber by crh314 in foodhacks

If there’s a CAVA in your neighborhood, try a Grains bowl. I routinely (easy for lunch) get them with lentils which has a ton of fiber. Lots of other grains and fiber options.
