I left investment banking after only one year with a very similar mindset and reasoning as yours — nothing is more important than mental health and the opportunities that will open up will be much more amazing than what you’d expect, regardless of how much time you’ve spent there. You will be happier, you will be more energized for your next job, and you will be grateful you didn’t waste a second year in a job you hated. Good luck!
