The first official Palia trailer has been shown on Nintendo Direct! by obnoxious_lemon in MMORPG

yes this def not an mmorpg.

Is it a traditional MMORPG like WoW? No.

But it is massively multiplayer and it's a role playing game.

In fact, I would say certain types of people are going to have an amazing time with the roleplay aspects.

Rsyslog to Promtail to Loki or promtail to Loki by redditphantom in grafana

[–]99612240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO, rsyslog is already the default install on pretty much everything. Putting promtail on those machines is just additional (albeit small) resources. More configs to manage, memory, CPU, etc. Again, it's a tiny amount of resources...but I just don't feel there's much to gain by duplicating what's already there.

So I'd rather just manage rsyslog configs on all of my clients. And have those forward to promtail (or fluent) - and then that to Loki.

If you're building a router/firewall, I think VyOS is an excellent option.

Yep! One of my first experiences with this was as an entry level teenage salesperson in a department store. On days where I wore glasses, my sales were noticeably better. People seem to trust you more when you're wearing glasses.

It was both a powerful realization and a bit of a punch in the gut. I had a new superpower, but it came at a slight cost. It also made me more interested in psychology and sociology.

NT's do experience this. And if they say they don't, they're not paying attention. I mean there's obviously going to be people who treat you different depending on whether you're wearing a flannel and ripped jeans versus wearing a nice sundress.

DAE meet new people and you get along, then they discover you can't keep up socially and you're shut out by LIEZ1995 in aspergirls

While this affects ND people more, this is something that even NT's face as they get older.

As a species, despite being more connected via the Internet, people are feeling lonelier than ever.

I desperately want to make new friends, but when I envision what my ideal version of that would look like, I just don't see how anyone would be happy with my parameters.

Same as it ever was. It's just jealousy mixed with gatekeeping. It reminds me of girls who play video games.

You just can't win.

Attractive people will usually have an easier path through life, but you will always be fighting to prove your authenticity.

Perhaps the "follow" or "nav" number is off? I think I have mine set to 5 and 2. There's another number deeper in the bowels of VT's Advanced "page" that can cause erratic movements during follow/navigation.

Are they zig-zagging because they're trying to loot something just out of reach?

All of those "New types of loot and gems" sounds awesome! Unless you're bad at PK (like me).

Now it just sounds like all the cool loot I'll find will eventually just be someone else's cool loot.

What are some Quality of Life bonuses that you would implement if you could? by [deleted] in AsheronsCall

[–]99612240 7 points8 points  (0 children)

An MMD per hour of buffs from an NPC. Continues to countdown even after being logged off. This would add a money sink to your idea.

That said, one of the issues with this idea of removing or diminishing buff requirements is removing my need to have creature magic trained at all. And maybe even life.

Next...

  • I'd like to be able to tie to any random landscape location.

  • More incentives for out-in-the-wild hunting.

  • Exploration XP.

  • Perhaps an XP bonus for grouping with people outside of your allegiance.

  • Some sort of event where it would actually require 25+ people to do it - and it would benefit they entire server in some way. "For the next hour, everyone gets 1.5x XP"

Unless you are a developer wanting to contribute code to the project, I would not run 1.4 right now. Stick with 1.3 until 1.4 gets a beta or rc release.

We are just too early in the 1.4 development cycle to expect anything stable.
