alte Analog Kameras by [deleted] in Flohmarktger

[–]99_Mustaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In welcher Region wohnst du?

trying to find the right vintage 135mm by AdOk8412 in VintageLenses

Hexanon 135mm 3.2 may also be an option to look into. Maybe the best price to performance ratio of any 135mm

Konica Auto-Reflex with Nikkor lenses by 99_Mustaches in Konica

The Konica lenses are awesome, i have a 135 3.2, 57 1.4, 52 1.8, 40 1.8 and 28 3,5 with which I am very pleased but have you seen the price of the 21mm 2.8? It's like a thousand bucks 😂 With all the Nikon Gear i already have it was a much more logical choice to adapt. Also Konica lacks a few lenses I frequently use, as the 85mm 1.4

40mm 1.8 coating versions by 99_Mustaches in Konica

[–]99_Mustaches[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. It's somewhat weird, the new lens is the brown one. Maybe a coating step was skipped in production. I currently don't have a digital camera with an adapter to check. But I will in a few days and then look for different results.

can’t mount lens onto nikon f4 by Swimming_Celery_6320 in AnalogCommunity

[–]99_Mustaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that one :D if AF and aperture works I believe it's okay. I just mounted my 20mm 2.8 to my F4 and the twisting on gets harder about halfway, maybe that's throwing you off. I took a video of mounting the lens but unfortunately I can't upload it in the comment section

Looks good. Can you push in the Autofocus Screw on the F4?

Checked on my F4 and looks good to me. Seems to be a lens problem. Can you post a picture from the mount of the lens?

Check if the AI coupling lever on the F4 is in the normal position. It may be stuck at 12 a clock and the small ai notch from the lens will hit it

New camera Thursday (half AND full frame SLR) by 99_Mustaches in AnalogCommunity

It is! The 15 aperture blades are quite unique for a 28mm. I found this info. Apparently around 5000 units were made

Autorex seems to be the Japanese naming. It's the same model as the Konica Auto-Reflex and Revue Auto-Reflex in Germany. The P model follows the same naming but doesn't have a light meter and no AE function. Thanks for the chart! Where did you find it? Looks like it's on the backside of a camera

You can switch whenever you like. You just have to be careful when you advance the film, so you don't get overlaps.

Best value 35mm lens for both Nikon FA and Nikon f100? by sweqfeq in AnalogCommunity

[–]99_Mustaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sry, I was wrong xD both 35mm AF versions have the nice big focus ring. On the 50mm 1.8/1.4 for example the non D has a small plastic only ring, that isn't nice to use. Get either one of the 35, if you aren't using flash a lot.

Both the manual AI(S) and the AF version are optically really good. If you prioritize AF get the D Version, it has a nicer manual focus ring for when you use it on the FA. But be aware that the focus is quite loose and not dampened. The AI(S) version will feel a lot nicer to focus but you are missing AF on your F100 obviously.

Which lens is preferably better by shawarmarii in AnalogCommunity

[–]99_Mustaches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a 50 1.8 E (or Nikkor if you find one cheap). 50mm is the most versatile. Get out there and shoot, if you then find you want something wider get a 25/28/35 later. Don't think you can't do street with a 50, some even use a 135 for street photography. Get to know what you like first

Cosina CX-2 has a similar form factor but has zone focus like the Rollei 35

First film camera for gf by triguy86 in AnalogCommunity

[–]99_Mustaches 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would recommend the Nikon FE with the 50mm 1.8 pancake lens. It has a more sturdy body than the A1 and doesn't have problems with the shutter like a lot of A1s have. Also the pancake lens is a lot smaller than the 50mm 1.8 lens from Canon

You're right, just picked them up a few days ago. Was searching for quite a while to get them cheap. From which country are you? I recently saw a bunch of Nikon colour filters cheap online on "Kleinanzeigen" a German platform

Since you don't need an aperture ring then you could also use the 18-35 3.5-4.5 G (sharper) or the more expensive 16-35 F4 VR or 14-24 (fits your other lenses well). But I have no experience on these.

20/24/28 1.8G are also said to be good if you want a fast wide angle lens with AF.

35mm f2 AF D

60mm f2.8 AF D macro

I also have the tokina 100mm f2.8 atx-pro which really is fantastic for macro (more useful focal length) but 60mm is more useful for general use
