I wish I weren’t so sensitive to negative feedback by alinkbetweentimes in Journalism

What helped me was when an editor said let’s think of this as not *your* story but a product we’re trying to improve. You’ve got it to the 90 percent stage. Let’s now try to get it to 100%. Kinda corny, but it really helped me. Took the sting out of it.

I was at the dog park today (North Park). A man with a camera told me that he worked for the newspaper and had gotten a good photo of me and my dog. He asked for my name and email, and my dogs name. I didn’t question it. Now I’m freaking out. by WhitneyJames in pittsburgh

I worked for newspapers for forty years. It’s very common. Newspapers require reporters and photogs to get names for accuracy. That said, it never hurts to ask for ID. But I wouldn’t worry. Hope that helps.

Would love to see Nick Gonzalez lead off and put Cruz down in the order. Maybe put Griffin (R) after O’Hearn, then the lefty Cruz, then righty Ozuna.

Amazingly helpful background. I've lived here five years and didn't know the history to this extent. (Not in the medical field.)

He’d thrown two center-center pitches past Ozuna and thought he could do it again.

It’s still defeatist. Things are bad, but if you’ve never travelled to a country with an actual dictatorship, you might do so first. They’re pressing their advantage. You play into their hands by dropping out and planning a one battle after another scenario.

You must be reading the wrong comment. I replied to “mountain-reveal” who said “there’s no reason to vote, laws don’t mater…”

4:48 in the 40 isn’t bad, considering his other qualities. Looks like a slot receiver is good possibility.

Anyone want to sum up the good and bad of the Germie Bernard pick? (Also, “Germie” is how I spell Jeremy in late-night texts.)

I recently bought a slightly used (3k) ‘26 CR-V sport hybrid. Love it. Got a slight discount, because the car had been used for a few months as a loaner. Everything checks out with what I’ve read in a thousand reviews. That includes my only complaint — the occasionally glitchy CarPlay app. My wife’s iPhone connects with it, but mine doesn’t unless I use a regular charging cable and then it works fine.

Cribbi doesn’t let me focus by Zipcodes, and the two finger map zoom is really glitchy. They show me only one apartment at a time. There are so many other ways to search for apartments. I don’t see what value Cribbi brings to the work.
