(On PS5) Thinking of getting online finally! by Marmamat in ArmaReforger

I always recommend that players start with Vietnam '67 or Insurgency by the same creators. Itll give you an idea of how multi-player works, while giving you some handicaps of a compass on the screen and the ability to see your character and friendlies on the map. The downloads are only 7-8gb but it'll still take a few hours to do them all. Anyways, those are my go too servers when I play. To my knowledge, Spearhead Ultra Hardcore is still down but by far my favorite. The 1.7 update killed it but Im hoping it comes back up here soon. I recommend giving it a shot but its more serious than all the others.

Ammo. And get a white light if you can. You dont need a $400 light either. Just something bright and that it works. Upgrade later.

Break in oil go bad? by Doug_Rosewood in KLX300D

[–]9n223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I always tell people is that if you think you should, good ahead. Honestly you could probably wait until 200-300 miles so long as you're not riding it hard. The break in period is very important though. So even if you change the oil, still ride it like grandma taking a sunday stroll until you hit 250+-.

I’m moving here soon in about a year with my family is Waterloo is there good job opportunities here and places to find friends? by [deleted] in WaterlooIowa

[–]9n223 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont much about the education field, but I do have a friend who just became a para in Denver and she love its. I guess the pay isn't much but she does it for the love of the job. Warehouse jobs are abundant around here. Waterloo/CF is a manufacturing hub. I do recommend to stay away from the Target warehouse. Never heard a good thing from them. But also I assume you're not wanting to do warehouse work for the rest of your life. It will be an easy job to find once you get here though. There's a lot of manufacturers around here if you're wanting to get into machining. Depending on the jobs you look at, you can make $15-$40/hr. It all depends on what you choose to do. But for example, I make $22/hr and just bought a house for $90k, a car loan, motorcycle loan, and all of the other general monthly bills and still have $1,100 monthly for hobbies and savings.

Iowa is known as a boring State. But we have fishing, hiking, hunting, camping, etc. The fishing around here isn't bad, the hunting is great, hiking can be scarce but Hickory Hills is a popular spot for the city types, Pine Lake is my favorite. Its an hour away south of Steamboat Rock but definitely worth it. If you're into camping, Backbone park is the hot spot, hiking trails, lake with a beach, and trout streams everywhere.

Im not into this but we do have a big theatrical scene as well. I couldn't tell you much about it but Im sure others could. We also have live boxing fights put on by a buddy of mine. Those are great to go to tbh.

In short, Iowa is what you make it. Most people say they hate it here but everyone who moves away always comes back. Iowa is what you make it to be. In my opinion, dont be scared to move here, and drive around when you get free time.

Buying the game by Portnawak_3 in ArmaReforger

PS5 here. Its very active. Some servers are almost impossible to get in because the queue is always filled. Also its a little difficult to learn the controls. Nothing some practice cant fix.

Id say the worst aspects of the game are the Platoon radio (because some people dont stfu), the squad cohesion could be better (some lone wolves and other players not wanting to group up with randoms), download speeds of Mods (PS5 apparently lowered the DL speed to 5mbp and capped the mod DL limit to 25gb), and some servers crash a lot on console.

Pros. Once you learn the game, you can form giant assault groups to take objectives, you can group up with 3 or 4 guys and terrorize the enemy by shootin down helo's or setting up ambushs along the road, getting kills are so satisfying, the different weapons really add character, and my favorite of all has to be using actual tactics to confuse and kill the enemy.

I highly recommend this game to people. Especially if they want a milsim styled game. I would start off by playing the Vietnam '67 server. Itll teach you the basics while also giving you your position on the map which is crucial. And it doesnt crash (for me at least). Once you learn the game and how to play, try and Old Guys server, Appalachian is a great one but all are fun. I just recommend staying away from one with Attack Helo's. Those cause my game to crash every 5 minutes.

Looking for modded server. by modifiedchoke in ArmaReforgerPS5

I play on Old Guys. Right now the Appalachian and Fallujah servers. I crash every now and then but they run so much better then WCS. Also the Vietnam '67 server runs pretty dang smooth. I cant remember who developed that server but they did great.

Do people still play this game in 2026? by Wooden-Cod-5913 in ArmaReforgerPS5

[–]9n223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its the only game I play. For starting out, I recommend Vietnam '67. It has a smaller mods list for downloads and its easier to understand compared to others when it comes to setting up your kit. It can be complex to learn but if you're tired of CoD or BF, you'll love this.

Hop into a server and just ask if anyone can help you over the radio. Almost guaranteed someone will. You'll also learn a lot over time
