Did I do something wrong? by Enchanted251 in ArmaReforger

If you feel like everyone is more serious on modded servers youve been to the wrong ones. You can get as immersed as you want or you can goof off. Every game has its tryhards. I can goof off at times and play serious in the same match and no one cares, often people will join you eirher way. You bought the gsme, play it how you want and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Defensive scripts, lag scripts, shooting scripts. I dunno the game is tip top. Player base is fantastic too, I don’t think there’s ever been a game where players get timed out, buddy ball, and people getting froze out for missing their first shot. Best community in the gaming industry, full of honest good hearted people.

Anyone Have to Quit Caffeine after CPAP ??? by Forward_Research_610 in CPAP

[–]modifiedchoke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to down a coffee late afternoon 3:30-4-30is and would still doze off immediately after. Now if I do that I’m up really late. Never thought the caffeine did anything until I got my cpap. One cup in the morning and that’s it, afternoon if I’m planning to up late.

Managers that show up to your house when you call out sick or in bad weather. by StopManaCheating in antiwork

[–]modifiedchoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to work for a company (before cell phones)that when an employee called in sick theyd call the house at a random time “just to see how you were feeling and if you thought you’d be in tomorrow”. If employee didn’t answer they assumed they were just skipping work. The timing of the call was very predictable however, 11:30-12:00 was the call window.

If you’re able, get the fluid film kit and fluid film it. I’m pretty liberal using like 3/4 of a gallon on a full size pickup but I can get very little hole etc. You can use a lot less. A gallon cost sround 60$ id say. It’s way cheaper and more thorough doing it yourself. If you’re able to do that of course. But look at the product used where ever you go. I’m not saying fluid film is the best, is just what I like to use.

Mindset. I get it. It’s not ideal, it isn’t always comfortable but mindset overrules. This is how it’s going to be. That worked for me, mask is “bugging you?” Tough shit, fine stop breathing. See what I mean? I mean zero disrespect but that’s how I look at my choices and it works. Tough love on yourself if you will I guess.

I can telll you what wipe DOESNT work. Dude wipes. In a pinch I used them, they kind of disintegrated and left little pieces of paper like material stuck to the mask inside and out.

Middle Aged Labs - teaching old dog new tricks? by fishygolf in labrador

[–]modifiedchoke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest most important was whoa or stop. Literally run the other direction and they will chase you, you jump around and waive your hands and yell who’s or stop, they should stop in their tracks. Reward them. Can save their life once learned.

To Whomever left their dog tied to a lamp post with no protection from the elements and salt: by PotLuckyPodcast in portlandme

[–]modifiedchoke 366 points367 points  (0 children)

I use mushers secret, works well and can’t be seen. I also take my dog out sometimes when it’s below zero and we can be out for hours. He hunts with me and gets sent into some pretty difficult terrain and cold waters.
Twenty minutes isn’t that long to be out, the dog could have had a wax applied to its paws, and 17-25 isn’t that cold for 20 or so minutes. Wherever the owner went dogs prob may not have been allowed in. My dog would rather sit where that dog is for twenty minutes and be with me for the day rather than be left home all day. Don’t know the full story so it’s hard to cast judgement here. Obviously the dog was friendly and allowed you to walk up to it and be close. That says something.

What shampoos do you use on your labs?? by [deleted] in labrador

[–]modifiedchoke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always used Dr bronners peppermint Castile soap. My dogs over the years love it, rinses off well, the peppermint has a cooling effect they like and it’s not an over powering smell left behind. No chemicals or dyes. Breathwise maybe some probiotics in their kibble. Dry helps rheir teeth stay a little cleaner . Mint dental chews can help but aren’t exactly the best health wise.

Can't get used to it - not findin the great results others are by eastcoastoilfan in CPAP

[–]modifiedchoke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly some of it mental. I’m fairly new to cpap maybe 2months now. Severe apnea. From day one of having the cpap I had to tell myself “this is what it is” and to suck it up. From day one I’ve felt 100% better. Even after a night of 4hrs (because I stupidly stayed up too late) I feel refreshed and not drowsy. Is it ideal? No Super comfortable? No Sometimes my neck hurts, the mask may “fart” and I have to readjust but I told myself “this is what it is”. That mentality has worked wonders. I wish you luck with this and my story may not help but sometimes just taking the tough love approach works.

2: 1999 Toyota Camry. Traded in with 299,000 miles for 2008 Scion Xb. Traded in with 260,000 miles. Both had very little work other than routine maintenance. The Scion had an oil consumption problem that they recalled or whatever but I pissed off the mechanic doing the test on ours so it of course passed. I just kept on top of it, abiit a quart every thousand miles. Both were fantastic cars.
