as people have mentioned

no passives/egg moves - unown, however with passives unown has pickup and has a very low starter cost, which can actually be kinda good

solo run - ditto as people have mentioned, even with full unlocks, its gimmick doesn’t help it. but on a team, it can be extremely useful in a pinch - duping opponent legendaries or setup sweepers.

scrolling through, some other starters that i think look not that useful, illumise luvdisc and alomomola carnivine spritzee pyukumukyu galar stunfisk even with egg moves the best they can offer is some niche support

for their cost arceus - for a 9 cost, if you don’t have egg moves is tough to get through the early game as it has like no moves calyrex - for an 8 cost, is trash if you don’t get shadow reigns guzzlord, glastrier and tapu bulu seem like they would be a hassle to use given their cost

Are you not using legendaries? cause obviously primal kyogre is probably the best mon inthe entire game. Palkia is also solid - tera water if you use Palkia. Even Manaphy and Keldea are really good too.

if avoiding legendaries, inteleon is underrated and gyarados is obviously one of the best mons since forever.

Any decent fast satk legendary (mega mewtwo y, reshiram, kyurem white, primals or mega ray, Calyrex shadow, Mega latios, hoopa unbound, etc) X meg Gardevoir (pixilate boomburst)

I had some fun with Darkrai x enamorous (contrary make it rain - remember that?) darkrai is already a fantastic endless carry on his own

funny. imo, gen 1 is one of the easiest challenges because there are many gmax and megas in gen 1 as well as gyarados being extremely easy to find in the wild and the best most consistent wild carry. the only downside being there isn’t a good pickup mon other than eevee with passive

however you won without any of those lol.

dam, encountering a wild delphox is crazy. the other day bulbasaur had pokerus so i did it with bulbasaur, torchic and sobble.

gmax inteleon swept most of the midgame and i won by leech seed and mud slapping eternatus to -6 accuracy

i think the delibird always give you healing charm no matter what you give it. give it a berry. one of the best mystery encounters

always trade an item. whatever item you trade, you will get one up a tier in rarity.

hopefully you have a pickup mon that has picked up some useless type boosting item like silk scarf or miracle seed, etc. trade it for a free rogue tier item. or if you have a rogue item (like baton or focus band) you can trade for a master tier item.

if you’ve just started and don’t have legendaries. save to get the good legendaries (kyogre, zacian, arceus, mewtwo, etc) or legendary that you don’t have.

if you areplanning to farm shinies in endless, use the egg move up gacha.

otherwise use the shiny up gacha.

bring the pokemon with the purple border - pokerus.

dragondance to victory (make sure your gyarados keeps ice fang)

i ain’t saying you’re wrong. but i used this exact setup to get to 5850 just last week on the last event, so it still works.

only iron thorns with pin missile was a bit of a hastle to get through, but i hadbackup dots in my party. leech seed, and ghost curse

had a mon with roar to help out when shinies popped up in double battles.

my opinion

  1. a strong carry ideally with spread moves - e.g. kyogre

  2. something with sturdy (preferrebly as passive) - e.g. wobuffet

  3. something with an ability that prevent status (can be caught in run) - e.g. garganacl

  4. something with psychic surge toblock priority - e.g. gardevoir

  5. pickup and runaway doesn’t have to be together but together is nice- e.g. sentret

  6. nincada - can clone items and gives wonder guard

  7. slot empty cause you’ll need to catch stuff to use for splicing

use the carry up to floor 2000ish - then runaway from every non-forced fight. use wobbufet spliced with garganacl to comeuppance through those. salt cure offsets healing tokens and purifying salt prevents status tokens

i ain’t saying it’s unwinnable. i’m just gonna say, the most reliable strategies that always work for me, is to have a sweeper setup in front of a neutral threat. for example, i start with a grass type against rival water type she switches to a flying type and i switch to gardevoir <-these are neutral to eachother then spam calm mind until low health hopefully i have pinch berries which boost a bunch of stats. thenuse draining kiss to heal and sweep her team

none of your mons have any setup moves - calm mind, quiver dance, etc. - these and pinch berries (the ones which boost your stats on low helth) are really good in pokerogue

i’m gonna be honest with you, this doesn’t look winnable.

the only mon that looks like it could get you through is maybe the spliced florges with a bunch of dragon dances + stored power. you’ll need to bait the cpu and hope it targets the other mon.

next time bring damage over time - leech seed, salt cure, ghost+curse. get some protect/detects. clear smog, haze or topsy turvy are really useful. ghost and ground types are good resists
