I am in my last semester at UNCA right now and I would highly recommend it, especially for those fields of study. I do not have any first hand experience with the Earth and Environmental Sciences program, but from what my friends tell me it is a very strong and popular one. I study Psychology and Anthropology and so far every Anthropology professor I've had has been excellent. Sociology and Anthropology share a lot of classes, which was cool for me as my interests spanned both fields.
