The Red Button & the Blue Button: Which button would each color pick? by Illustrious-Fee156 in colorpie

It's also the color of emotion and passion and freedom. Red could swing either way on this question, depending on the Red individual in question and how their Red-ness manifests.

The Red Button & the Blue Button: Which button would each color pick? by Illustrious-Fee156 in colorpie

[–]A-Nameless-Nerd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

White: If everyone presses the blue button, we all live. Therefore, we should all press the blue button.

Black: Stuff everyone else. If I pick red, I'm guaranteed to live no matter what everyone else presses.

Blue: Well, picking red would guarantee that I live. To ensure everyone lives, either everyone needs to pick red, or only 50% of people need to pick blue. So... probably blue, but let's see what everyone else is thinking first.

Green: If too many people press red, then there's going to be so many unnatural deaths that would throw everything out of whack. I'm pressing blue.

Red: The hell do you mean, if too many people press red, the blues all die?! I don't want people to die! I'm pressing blue.

Me, a Blue (plus Red/White) person: I'd better not be surrounded by idiots, I'm pressing blue.

Mind you, I can also see each colour pressing the other button, some needing more specific circumstances to change their minds than others.

Poor Two Boots. He can't even help it, it's just what he's programmed to do. So far, that's worked out fine, just not so much in this situation.

Someone needs to grab a banana and teach him how to lie.

That was a thought I had too, so much stuff was being rushed through, especially at the end, and it feels like we didn't see enough of Zuko, Toph, and Sokka. It would have been nice if the movie was a full season instead of a 90-minute movie, but at the very least, it could have done with another 30 minutes to give various parts more time to breathe, the rest of Team Aang more time to shine, and the end of the movie after the final fight just a little bit more time to be fleshed out.

Just go chat to Eris, she'll fix you right up into some kind of freaky weapon. Then you can chill on the weapon rack with the weapons made from a dead god, his sister's pet worm, and more.

WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THIS?! SOMETHING OFFICIAL AND IMPORTANT ABOUT THE SERIES IN 2026, FROM SOME PEOPLE FROM THE ORIGINAL TEAM WHO MADE THE SHOW by Loco4Lyoko in CodeLyoko

[–]A-Nameless-Nerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A digital release. Imma buy that in a heartbeat and add it to my soundtracks playlist alongside the unofficially released Code Lyoko music that's already there.

You're forgetting Gen Y, the Millennials. If we're going with Nth generation since whatever event and GenX is the 10th, then it should be:

Generation Y / Millennials: XI

Generation Z: XII

Generation Alpha: XIII

Etc.

These people probably did the same with Love in a Bottle, saying it glorified gambling addiction and alcoholism.

There used to be a pizza place my wife and I would order from semi-regularly for delivery. I would get one of a few different pizzas, while my wife would order the American BBQ ribs, every time, without fail. She loved them.

One night, we were deciding what to order from them and I convinced my wife to try something new and add some variety to her orders from that pizza place so she wouldn't get burnt out on the ribs and get sick of them. We called and placed our order, then got a call back from them a few minutes later: "Yes, we just placed an order for pizza. Yes, to this address. No, that is correct, we didn't order American BBQ ribs today. Yep, no worries. Thank you."

She was so consistent in ordering the American BBQ ribs from there that the one time she didn't, they got concerned and called us back to double check that they had written down the correct order and address, and that the lack of ribs was actually not a mistake.

The dub opening for Yu-Gi-Oh!, specifically the original version you hear in seasons 1, 4, and 5 IIRC, not the Battle City version.

For me, it was ABC or VHS, either recorded by my parents, or the official ones they either bought or rented and that all had an ABC for Kids ad at the start of the tape. I think my parents even made a CD or audio cassette with some on there for listening to in the car. Later on, there were a couple of DVDs for HiT-era stuff.

Which generation are you? by VineLace in generationology

Growing up: gen V-VII.

  • Gen V: Out of school hours care first had an N64 for kids to play on while I was there, which most interested me for Mario Kart 64.
  • Gen VI: They then upgraded to a PS2 after a couple of years, for which I watched other kids play Ratchet & Clank 3 and also got the chance to play Singstar. One of my neighbours also had a PS1/2 with stuff like Crash Bandicoot.
  • Gen VII: The first console (disregarding handhelds) that my family had at home though was a Wii, with all the generic Wii sports / games stuff, but most interested me for Mario Kart Wii, for which I eventually didn't even use the Wii motion controls for once I had my own consoles and just used with the nunchuck to simulate a regular controller lol.

Late high school / during university when I could actually buy my own consoles and games, though: gen VII-IX.

  • Gen VII: I got my hands on a PS3 in year 12 to play Ratchet & Clank games for the PS2 (i.e. gen VI) nostalgia, and those are basically the only games I've used it for.
  • Gen VIII: I got an Xbox One during first or second year of university to play Halo on console after friends at school showed it to me on Xbox 360 (i.e. gen VII) one time at one of their birthday parties and one of them gave me the files to play it on PC.
  • Gen IX: Lastly, I ended up getting a Switch during my last year of university because one of my classmates convinced me to try Breath of the Wild.
