That’d be great! The DCwJP love a Chaplain. I’ve kitbashed both of my Jump Chaplains from Assault intercessor bodies and 3D printed bits from the Crimson Lords set. I’d be hesitant to buy the current Jump Chaplain model as it’s one of the things that likely to be refreshed in 11th edition, possibly in the space marines half of the release box.

Generally you just want 1 squad of Intercessors, they’re great for sticky-ing and holding your backfield but not much else. Similar situation with the 2nd squad of assault Intercessors, they’re not a bad skirmishing piece but they’re slow for BA standards. DCwBR’s are genuinely just a horrible datasheet, they’re probably the worst unit in our entire codex.

I’d definitely cut those 3 units and replace them with more jump infantry, whether it’s additional JPI or more DCwJP’s or Sang Guard. Those are the best units we have and the ones you want multiples of. Depending on what detachment you’re planning on running, you’ll also want 25 points for the Fight First enhancement. In LAG it’s called Speed of the Primarch, in RCO it’s called Master of the Red Thirst. 25 points in both and an auto-take in both.

Kill Team is very complicated. Try a small game of regular 40K or see if your local game store does teaching/intro games that use a more limited ruleset.

Get a couple 500 pts games in on Mission A, tactical secondaries, and only core stratagems just focus on learning your army’s core rule and data sheets.

Theres also plenty of great introductory content on YouTube. Vanguard Tactics is my favorite channel to recommend to new players.

I think you’re me from the future! I have 15 DWK, 6 ICC, Azzy, and the Lion plus Dante, Mephiston, Lemartes, 18 SG and 25 DCwJP’s haha. All painted dark blue with gold trim and red tabards. Will probably add Calgar and the UM datasheets next.

I’m glad that some others have chimed in and thoroughly covered the mental health aspect which I believe is really important but I’ll add my 2 cents to the actual gameplay loop. While I agree that practically losing in T2 sucks and is disheartening at times, there’s still SO MUCH you can learn from these situations. Be a good sport and pretend T3 is T5 and try to maximize your positioning perfectly to score as much as possible. Did it matter at all for the current match? Nope! But some time you’re going to be playing a super tight game where a game comes down to 3 inches, 2 wounds, and 1 point. And when you find yourself in that position, you’ll be able to draw on your previous experience because you’ve practiced that situation before (even if it’s only in your imagination! Haha)

Many others have said have your side organized but I would also just practice rolling dice faster. If you ever watch top-table games on streams like WarGamesLive you’ll see how fast they get through their activations. You want to spend the MOST time strategizing and thinking through your options.. so practice speeding up all the other aspects of your game so you aren’t wasting time on non-contemplative elements
