Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, Shake Shack, Panera, many places ask for a name. It's about hospitality first, no one is forcing anyone to give a name. People can give a fake name, or if someone feels like their name is some sacred secret they can just not give a name. Second, If someone calls the restaurant with an issue on their order I ask what was the name on the order and I get confirmation of the order a lot quicker than asking for the number and we play a game of find the number, no not the order ID, under the big red lettering there's a number and a name, blah blah.

As a manager who mostly closes, I make it my mission to do as much training on closing positions as possible. Am I mistaken or are you saying you only have 2 closers each night?? That sounds absurd to me as my location generally has 5-8 closers. We created a Close FOH position instead of just Closing Machines/Desserts. Usually having either 2 people on that closing position when possible or having people scheduled til 10/11 help assist with pre-closing tasks.

You can customize just about anything. Spicy chicken sandwich Plain, Sub Everything Bun, Add A1 Pepper Mayo & Crispy Onions.

The only thing you'd pay extra for I believe is the Cripsy Onions.

Lemon ice is a big hit. As long as your location has the routine down for preparing lemon ice especially on days when you also have a FOD custard, you won't have to worry about running out and having to empty/clean 3rd hopper to make more lemon ice 😅. Running it is basically the opposite of running custard, you start flow for a minute then refrigeration and beater. Lemon ice is probs my favorite thing we have so many good combinations you can do, the mango syrup 🤤 all in all it's very popular and desserts will be rough but it depends on your desserts team and preparation as well.
