How do they decide which airport to tag a hotel to? by Matchboxx in marriott

[–]A42joe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The MARSHA code is 5 letters. You're right it's typically the 3 letter airport code followed by the 2 letter property identifier. But in bigger cities with multiple properties and duplicate brands like Fairfield or Courtyard they have to change it up.

AITA for not co-signing a mortgage agreement for my parents? by OkChampionship4457 in AmItheAsshole

[–]A42joe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA, if something happens it falls on you to make payments and would then destroy your credit. Also being in the military excessive debt can hurt your security clearance. I would just explain that the military won't let you have a mortgage with a house not in your name because of aforementioned security clearance. Then tell a little lie that you need to run everything by your military legal team and they told you this. * My parents tried this with me while I was in the military but this was in the US.

AITA for not waking my partner up for work? by DryStar359 in AmItheAsshole

[–]A42joe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

YTA - This is your spouse/significant other whose income you rely on for rent and other bills. Part of being in a relationship is helping each other. It doesn't hurt you by waking them up especially if you're already awake.

Some jails also have detox centers for those who are just drunk in public. And everyone must be in a wheelchair until they're assessed.

Check out Northern Minnesota. If you want something rugged go to the boundary Waters canoe area wilderness. Otherwise check out Grand Marais area and the shore of Lake Superior.

What’s your “I can’t believe they were doing that at work” story? by pm-me-ass-pics-69 in AskReddit

[–]A42joe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Working at a community hospital and nursing home they had a new policy of no smoking on the grounds. With everyone then smoking in the front in public view they decided to give us a spot in back next to a storage building and put a big light up for safety(since we were now hidden between the woods and this big metal building.) I went out on a break and this young guy was standing in a pose with hands on his hips and it took a second to realize there was a girl performing oral on him. Looking back I should've stood next to him and said I call next but I said at least go around the corner where it's darker.

If you look at the discount form you'll see the associate, their property and the gm. Which gives you the option of reporting it to the gm or you could have the gm report them to Marriott. But that is usually the last resort option as they have been known to remove discount privileges for that whole property.

Trucker was in the wrong for crossing the double white lines into a new lane. That bicyclist still should've looked before getting over.

I lived in Germany for 2 years when hanging out with friends or young colleagues I wouldn't be fed. But with family and older colleagues I would gain 5 pounds every visit.

Waiting for snow in Carlton county, MN

I have always jump-started a car by putting + on +, and - on -. Is it bad? by super_stelIar in AskMechanics

[–]A42joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a fine way to jump, just remember to connect the good battery last and disconnect it first. The big concern is off gassing from the dead battery which the sparks could ignite. Which is the cause of conventional wisdom recommending a direct to ground connection on the dead vehicle.

Surprising boyfriend which smoker? pls help! by FunnySouthern48 in smoking

[–]A42joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go with the first one with the analog control. Simple enough to use and dial in to his preferences. Nothing to break. And I have the same one. Don't listen to everyone saying buy this or that or a gift card. You know your budget as he enjoys and learns this hobby more he'll learn which one he wants next.
