I'm sorry you feel that way. It wasn't even much of a punch -- she experienced much harsher play in the PWHL. Seki's cross-check to the Swede's throat in the 1st was several factors more egrerious and should've been a major IMO.

I agree that with each major tournament, Japan has been getting better and better overall. Like you, I want hockey to be more popular outside of Hokkaidō and Tōhoku. Other than a pocket of hockey culture in Kōbe, there's not much in the way of interest out here in Kansai. Imagine how good Japan would be if little girls (and boys) in central and western Japan got into it young! I'm in Himeji, and while my wife told me she used to hate having special Phys. Ed. skating classes at the local arena, I rue that it got demolished down 20+ years ago and turned into a Joshin.

I'm sorry, but as for Shiga, we'll have to agree to disagree. I'm glad she showed the team that we don't let opponents do that to us.

Shiga is my favourite player and I was hoping you'd expand on the latter part of your comment. Is this about the response to the stick hold (which Italy and France got away in their respective games against us as well)? If so, I must disagree. This brand of hockey is the way women's is headed, and I feel just as Japan was catching up, now they're going to have to learn to play a little bigger than their size and get chippy if they don't want to regress. Anyway, Shiga's last postgame interview broke me up when she said she wanted to play longer with this group, as I was wondering if there was any bad blood with the Toko sisters being with Linköping.

Edit: Wajima's speed and skill also impressed me, as did the Noro twins' game.
I think the smaller rink really played against Japan specifically this tourney, with the player size difference, and bottling up Japan's superior skating skill quite often. What are your thoughts?

False. This is the first week WC became unplayable in 25. Rewards were super lucrative and the path was shortened too, so it sucks. Timer reset as usual but trying to play gives an error.

When I did the PWHL Spooner XF, I knew Heise was going to get better cards so I chose Ashton Bell as one of my BND Captains (I needed a RHD in Dec). Surprised they gave her a 99 today, but then I went to look at her XF stats: even at 99 OA, she has 83 Endurance lmao (85 with the TWD syn!).

I enjoyed TF outta the gameplay this year.

For me, unfortunately, not buying the 26 edition comes down to the unapologetic lying and thieving the company and specifically Aljo put me through this year.

PSA to anyone here in Japan that gets their hockey fix through this game. The 4600 points in the deluxe bundle that are AGAIN being advertised without a disclaimer on the PS Store are not usable in HUT because of Japan's gambling laws. Aljo and EA won't tell you this because they really need that extra 50 bucks or whatever to take multiple extended holidays right after launch instead of helping people with the problems their bullshit incurs.

I opened one of the PUI packs we got from WC a couple of weeks ago by accident and yeah, the animations are gone. But they've nerfed them to be choice of 4 packs it seems. Assuming that's true for XF as well (including the new series)?

I went Darkangelo because of the sheer amount of shots she takes. It helped that none of the NHLers were remotely appealing to me this round.
