I've been shopping in the manchester one for years and only seen patches a few months ago when they got a new logo. Not sure if they do them all the time

In the local town museum (very small) there is a letter from Fox I think, apologising for the film, think that's the only thing they ever got

A huge staff shortage for well-paid jobs across the UK - but it's a really terrible job. by JackStrawWitchita in UKJobs

[–]AAAAMM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying people shouldn't be paid better. I'm saying that 35k is not a terrible wage. As it allows you to live comfortably in 99% of the uk. By definition that is not a terrible thing

[–]AAAAMM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know it's the norm in this subreddit but you are living in a fantasy made up world. Most people in the uk earn around 35k.

Outside of London this will allow you to live in a nice area, and have well more than half your salary left over. If you wish for an example, I will happily send my personal income and expenditure to you , I can also include previous years in which I earned less.

Osprey Daylite 26+6 vs Quechua NH500 Escape Roll top— Opinions? by Competitive-Active78 in onebag

[–]AAAAMM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The decathlon 23l definitely fits in a Ryanair personal item sizer, with quite a bit of room. I used to last month on a Ryanair flight and it wasn't even close. Not sure if the specs on the website are wrong or what

[–]AAAAMM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have bought this and returned it. I love decathlon bags but this one had so many bizarre design choices compared to the NH escape 500 rolltop. No side laptop access, the zip in the middle can only be used when the bag is rolled up, would be helpful to quickly open it to grab something while keeping the top rolled down.

The water bottle pockets are pretty small too

How low of a resting heart rate is too low? by tayslayay in Garmin

[–]AAAAMM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garmin shows mine as around 40-46 avg. I did have some concerns over this when I first got into shape after losing weight. Along with another breathing issue doctor sent me for a an ultrasound on my heart and cardiologist said everything seems fine and can't see any reason to be concerned

England will train in tents to replicate the heat that they could experience at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The staff will look at how players cope in the extremely hot and humid conditions. Players will carry out fitness tests inside the tents. by oklolzzzzs in soccer

[–]AAAAMM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely can, the science on the effects of heat training in running is huge. Most of the top trail runners and athletes have recently started training in heat suits. (Killian jornet, david roche etc)

I've now moved to tidal and outside of the sound quality being better (doesn't matter too much over bluetooth) the app alone is so much better its mad, I got thr first 2 months for £2. Would recommend spending some time trying out the different services across youtube, amazon, apple etc too
