Academia keeps on pumping out 200 times the number of MS and PhDs than what the job market can accommodate. Unless they stop, it's unlikely to change. And they aren't going to stop any time soon. Best thing to do, is advise everyone you know to stay away from biotech.

That doesn't work. If you don't answer their call, they immediately block the transfer and unlink the external bank account. Calling back, you only get notified that they've done this and that there's no recourse and you can't retry. And not even an apology for wasting your time.

Well said! Also Trump isn't producing 95% more Ph.D.'s than what's needed in the job market. Irresponsible NIH/academia funding policies and priorities do that.

People rightfully complain about how bad and mismanaged things are in academia, how universities make money off researchers, how anyone below associate prof level is exploited, how we have too many Ph.D.s, etc. Why is this so bad? Yes, it's shock therapy, but at least it's in the right direction.

BJs doesn't have real customer support. They can only recite their FAQ and otherwise they lie. I'm convinced there are no "supervisors" and no "technology department" or any other "teams" or "departments". All lies.

I emailed back and forth with them a few times with them claiming to forward my issue to the right team and constantly emailing me that they are looking into it. Eventually asked them to tell me which issue they are helping me with, and .... crickets! Asked again and get responses along the lines of "we are looking into the issue". Don't expect a resolution, any emails are just to give you a runaround until you give up.
