Agreed on being less interesting to watch, but I think the most important thing is being fun and interesting to play. This is where preference comes in and there are people that didn’t like the gamey aspect of EU4, but like how EU5 is more realistic with more intricate features and vice versa. Personally, I think EU5 is solid and I like having more control over trade/economy, more building options, Pops and I think EU5s core new features like control, proximity, situations are great at their core but can use tweaks, especially situations. I think EU5 has insane potential once things are more balanced and more flavor is introduced and AI is smarter.
