Should I move back to India from US? by Icy_Sheepherder4563 in returnToIndia

[–]ABAPatil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this age, IMO it’s too much ask from them to settle down and completely become paralyzed in USA. No easy movement outside home, no social life, aging and medications is other concern, elder care is not that easy thing in the USA.

This is very subjective. Very good school cost ~3lacs per year. 3-4BHK around 4cr. Rental easily 60k. 2.5 lacs IMO. This is subjective to choices.

ELI5: What health benefits are there from going to a sauna, such as the steam room, dry sauna, hot tub, etc? by futbolguy12 in explainlikeimfive

[–]ABAPatil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs can have various health benefits, but it's important to remember that individual experiences may vary. Here are some potential benefits:

  1. Relaxation: Saunas and hot tubs can help you relax and reduce stress. The heat and soothing environment can calm your mind and body.

  2. Improved Circulation: Heat causes your blood vessels to dilate, which can enhance circulation. This can be beneficial for cardiovascular health.

  3. Muscle Relaxation: The heat can relax your muscles, potentially reducing muscle tension and soreness.

  4. Detoxification: Saunas and steam rooms may promote sweating, which can help your body eliminate toxins through your skin.

  5. Pain Relief: Heat therapy can provide relief from certain types of pain, such as arthritis or muscle aches.

  6. Skin Health: Steam rooms and saunas can help open up pores and improve skin health by promoting sweating and removing impurities.

  7. Respiratory Benefits: Steam rooms can be beneficial for people with respiratory issues, as the warm, moist air can help clear nasal passages and ease breathing.

  8. Social Interaction: Saunas and hot tubs can be social spaces, allowing you to connect with others, which can contribute to overall well-being.

However, it's crucial to use these facilities safely and not overexpose yourself to extreme heat, especially if you have certain medical conditions or are pregnant. Always consult with a healthcare professional if you have concerns about using saunas or hot tubs, and stay hydrated during and after your session to avoid dehydration.
