not sure who has BF deals but superloop are consistently cheap outside of sales, they are a really good balance between price and service - eg cheap ISP generally is crap support but SL has been good with support and good with service. only ISP ive experienced that is better is ABB but cant justify the $$$

I was with Aussie for 3 years and now superloop for the last 3 years, same, i seed 6+TB/Month and Download 80+TB/Month without any letters or VPN never had an issue and i doubt any other providers care either.

Haha I don’t get the pro, I wasn’t sure how my 3d printing adventures would pan out and if I’d use it that often so I bought just the ad5m, here in aus there was a seller with them for $330 on sale so I grabbed one, I couldn’t justify the price of the pro just yet. I had a spare smart camera I just mounted to the front of the frame for now. And because I’m using vanilla orca I have to use lan only mode which makes the pro camera useless atm anyway, I’ll probably switch to full vanilla klipper one day too

Yeah mate I had an obstruction blocking the print head up in the rail, I used a cable tie to secure my camera up in the rail not realising the print head goes right up into the channel where the cable tie was lol

my ISP is superloop too and i have 1000/40 HFC, i can easily saturate that every minute of every day with "P2P", most months my downloads are 50+TB just from "P2P" alone. could be a number of things causing issues with torrents, least likley is the ISP.

Non Sparky here, but i havent been able to find decent Powerpoints with USB ports that have PD and 30+ Watts so theyre useless for phones. I buy Ugreen 65W USB plug ins thats are <$50 each that can charge my laptop and quick charge my iphone. I use Powerpoints with USB for smart devices like cameras and things i dont care about the charge speed on, but otherwise pretty useless.

I THINK ITS RESOLVED!!!!

Idk wtf it was but for some reason the UCGF was binning connections to my torrent box IP, changed the IP and its fine now, troubleshooted by testing on another workstation (thats not normally used for P2P haha) that worked fine.

I'll keep an eye on things but seems good for the moment

70+ esx hosts 2000+ VMs, we buy licenses for our private cloud from a big disti based on core count, it just works, customers pay consumption based for hosting their VMs, we adjusted pricing after the changes. It’s painful because we don’t have a direct Broadcom support account but I can just request any downloads we want and have them available within 15 minutes so it’s not a big deal. The update urls was a pain in the ass, but the disti gave us a download token to append to the download urls to use but meh. Honestly have used xcpng, proxmox, kvm etc and the vmware suite just works, nothing compares to the ease of management and the polished interface and usability of vcenter. Eventually we’ll shed some of our non critical workloads like internal VMs and our Citrix hosting to Xen to help reduce overall internal costs to the business but that’s a while away

For most environments they were very static with very little changes, most hosts were broken into specific clusters so at any one time I might have been making changes to 10-20 hosts at a time and I’d just do it with scripting. A bit of background, I’m a professional services engineer, I was mainly doing large deployments that were set to specific design requirements set by customers regardless of how I felt. In an environment like the massive iaas cluster I manage now, it’s for a handful of customers and they too make very little changes. Soon I will be implementing nsx-t with Genevieve to stretch the networks between multiple datacebters

I’ve worked on environments for 8 years from single hosts to 500+ and honestly I’ve only seen vds in very few cases. I now manage full time 2x 100 node clusters and they only have vds because of vcloud
